Brightspace Platform RequirementsThe listed platform requirements apply to the following:
The content in this guide is applicable to the most recent version of the Brightspace Platform unless otherwise noted. Course Import and Course Conversion SupportYou can import course content from supported learning management systems (LMS) and content providers into Brightspace. D2L recommends working with your site administration or D2L Account Manager when importing content from another LMS. You can also convert packages into importable D2L-formatted packages using separate conversion tools. D2L recommends working with your D2L Account Manager to discuss converting and importing from supported systems. Course Import CompatibilityThe following table provides a list of learning management systems (LMS) and content providers that you can import course content from. It is recommended that you work with your site administration or D2L Account Manager when importing content from another LMS.
You can convert packages into importable D2L-formatted packages using separate conversion tools. Work with your D2L Account Manager to discuss converting and importing from the following systems:
LTI and LIS Support
Browser SupportD2L is committed to performing key application testing when new browser versions are released. However, due to the frequency of some browser releases, D2L cannot guarantee that each browser version will perform as expected. If you encounter any issues with any of the browser versions listed in the tables below, contact D2L Support, who will determine the best course of action for resolution. Reported issues are prioritized by supported browsers and then maintenance browsers. Supported browsers are the latest or most recent browser versions that are tested against new versions of D2L products. Customers can report problems and receive support for issues. For an optimal experience, D2L recommends using supported browsers with D2L products. Maintenance browsers are older browser versions that are not tested extensively against new versions of D2L products. Customers can still report problems and receive support for critical issues; however, D2L does not guarantee all issues will be addressed. A maintenance browser becomes officially unsupported after one year. Note the following:

Brightspace AppsD2L offers the following Brightspace apps for mobile devices and/or tablets on the Android and iOS operating systems:
Compatibility with specific versions of the Brightspace Platform may vary. Brightspace PulseBrightspace Pulse is a mobile app that can help learners stay connected and on track with their courses in D2L Learning Environment. It provides one easy view of course calendars, readings, assignments, evaluations, grades, and news. The app can help learners make better decisions about how to handle workload, when to submit assignments, and when to prepare for tests. Real-time alerts can let learners know when classes are canceled, rooms are moved, or new grades are available. The schedule view and weekly visualization enables learners to quickly at a glance view what is due today, this week, and upcoming across all their courses. Brightspace Pulse is compatible with Brightspace Platform 10.5.1 and higher. Note: Brightspace Pulse is optimized for mobile devices.
D2L Assignment GraderD2L Assignment Grader is a mobile application that you can use to download assignments from your D2L Learning Environment course offering Dropbox folders for offline grading on your iPad. You can also grade assignments while connected to the internet for automatic synchronization of feedback and grades back to your D2L Learning Environment Dropbox folders. You can submit feedback in a variety of formats including text, audio, or video. You can also access rubrics, make inline comments and make annotations directly to submissions to provide contextualized feedback to learners. Brightspace Pulse is compatible with Brightspace Platform 10.2 and higher.

D2L ePortfolioD2L ePortfolio is a personal portfolio tool for storing, organizing, reflecting on, and sharing items that represent your learning. You can include items such as documents, graphics, audio files, videos, presentations, and course work to demonstrate your improvement or mastery in certain areas. You can control what items you want to include in your portfolio, how they are organized, and who you want to share them with. When you share items with your peers, mentors, or potential employers, you can give them permission to view items, edit items, see or add comments, and see or add assessments to receive feedback. D2L ePortfolio is compatible with D2L Learning Environment 10.3 or later.
