Batman was very straightforward about the life he wanted to select. He was trying to save Rachel because he loved her. But the joker intentionally told the incorrect addresses where Harvey Dent and Rachel had been held. The address told the joker where Rachel was kept eventually led to the location where Dent was kept. Batman being a hero could ignore and stop saving human life. He saved Dent, thus. When Batman saw Dent, he couldn't leave her and reach out to Rachel, as the bomb was about to explode in seconds. Q2
Kant's standard of universality states that you must act in such a way that everyone else does the same, and you must refrain from doing what you do not want anyone else to do In order to be permissible, it must be possible to extend it to all citizens without any inconsistency. In this case, Kant's universality requirements do not completely apply because there are some good people who will react in a way that Batman wants them to do. But there are still several of the people who hate Batman and his act of saving people. They will respond in the opposite direction. There are two main characters out there, Joker and Dent. The shocking part is the interrogation scene in which the Joker tells Batman, "You let five people die. I don't want to kill you. You complete me" Is Batman behaving in his own way or in the way that the joker wants him to do. It's a big question. Alfred, Bruce's butler said, “Some men just want to watch the world burn" This is the case with the Joker, who has enjoyed creating anarchy and disorder. Another example is Harvey Dent, who stood by justice and then turned into a destructive character when his love was destroyed, and the second joker incites Dent to bring out his dark side in order to bring justice. He goes on to kill all people who were involved in the murder because he felt he was doing justice. But what happened was that Batman killed Dent to save Gordon's boy and keep Dent's dark side a secret. If killing people is the right thing to do to save your loved ones, then it should have been extended to all people? And by the end of the day there will be blood everywhere and no human existence.
