The surface roughness of the hole walls takes place among the essential factors that influence the coating quality. Nevertheless, some factors influence surface roughness, for example, the conditions of drilling and material characteristics of the printed circuit boards. Conventional cobalt binder cemented tungsten carbide microdrills have low cutting efficiency and short tool life when operated at high cutting speeds. It is highly desirable to improve tool life and service performance, as it is relatively expensive to manufacture microtools with these materials. Therefore, plating is often applied to microdrills [18] . The vibrations that occur during drilling are among the factors influencing tool life in microdrills [19] . For the purpose of increasing the tool life and performance of microdrills, the vibration values should be reduced, and these values should be continuously checked during drilling. Another critical factor that influences the micromachining process is cutting fluids. Mineral oils and chemical lubricants are used in microdrills in order to release the shavings trapped in the holes due to high speed [21]
