We have wonderful teachers; amazing facilities and you can make lots of new friends from Catrine, Auchinleck, Mauchline, Sorn, Muirkirk, Drongan and Ochiltree. At Auchinleck Academy you will feel welcome and looked after. Come to Auchinleck, it’s the place to be!
To start with we have an amazing P.E department with fantastic football pitches and a super swimming pool. Our pool will make you swim as fast as a dolphin! We also have great teachers like Mr Baird, Miss Sharpe and Miss Morton who will make you as fit as a fiddle. We have excellent sport clubs for you to join like the boy’s football team, the rugby team and the basketball team. And for the girls we have a girl’s football team too! If you like sports then come to our outstanding P.E department!
Also, Music is great! We have keyboards, drum kits, guitars and bass guitars! Miss Moore and Mrs Hyslop are some of out groovy music teachers. And if you play an instrument or want to, we have lessons available! Come to our rocking music department and have a blast!
Next, we have our astonishing Technical department which has amazing computers and fantastic architectural drawing boards! You can work like Bob the Builder! We have great teachers like Mr Hendry, Mr Malakoty and Mr Whitehouse.
In addition to these super departments is the Science department where you can do experiments! There is also a science club that you can join. We have fantastic teachers like Mrs Mcpheator and Mr Gray who will show you everything from biology to chemistry and from chemistry to physics! You have to come to our Science department.
And, our Art department is awesome! You can design outfits, draw and work on the computers in our luxury computer suite. Miss Baxter, Mrs Goodwin, Mr Macmillan and Mr Berwick are some of our arty teachers who will show you how to draw like Leonardo Da Vinci!
Next is our Home Economics department which will help you sew and cook like a pro! You can make smoothies, cupcakes and macaroni cheese! Miss Porter, Mrs Dick and Mrs Highcock will show how to make these things as they are brilliant teachers! In sewing, you will make a cushion to put in your room or anywhere you want because you have the amazing job of designing it!
Also, our Social Studies department is full of history! Miss Collins, Miss Alexander and Miss Hamilton will teach you all about geography, history and modern studies. You will learn everything about Scotland!
At the same time, our Computing department is amazing! We have excellent computers and brilliant teachers like Mr Gould and Mrs Hammersly. Come to our computing department!
And, our English department is extremely outstanding! Everything you need to know about English, will be taught to you from our super teachers, Mrs Bevan, Mrs Noble and Miss Shaw! We also have a super library with books for girls and boys, from horrors to comedy, there is a book for you! And there is a book club available for you to join. So why not come to our fantastic English department?
Also, our Maths department will make you as brainy as Mrs Meehan who is one of our maths teachers. Another super maths teacher is Mr Dempster. You will learn everything about numbers, shapes, angles and so much more!
Last but not least, is our fantastic French and Spanish department! Do you know how to speak proper French and Spanish? No, but when you come here you will be talking like your from France and Spain! Mrs White and Mr McGeady are some of our brilliant teachers!
