1. ACCE COPYRIGHT PRINCIPLE

ACCE published material can be reproduced in whole or in part licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication by ACCE.

2. SUBMISSION TO ACCE PUBLICATIONS

Authors who publish with ACCE agree to the following terms:

Authors retain copyright and grant the ACCE right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication by ACCE.

Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the ACCE published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication by ACCE.

Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process to ACCE, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).

3. SHARED PUBLICATION RIGHTS

Member associations of ACCE and groups with which ACCE is affiliated may reproduce articles from ACCE and member association publications using a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication by ACCE.

Statement on copied works could say:

This article has been reproduced from the Australian Educational Computing journal, a publication of the Australian Council for Computers in Education under the copyright policy of the Australian Council for Computers in Education.

Authors should be asked as a matter of courtesy and informed of how to access the publication when available.

4. COPYRIGHT MATERIAL ON ACCE WEBSITE

Copyright for the Graphics and Design of the web, should remain copyright to ACCE.

Copyright for programming should also rest with the ACCE.

Web pages should contain the ACCE copyright statement and two statements:

à Persons interested in commercial use should contact secretary@acce.edu.au

à If considering linking to this web page please advise secretary@acce.edu.au

5. CAL

The Copyright Agency Limited (CAL) administers a number of license schemes through which users in education, business and the general community can copy from, and pay for the copying of, CAL members’ copyright materials. While CAL collects fees and distributes them back to member associations ACCE feels that the materials it provides should be freely available to schools, and that in the interests of advancing knowledge and understanding about ICT in education, schools and education bodies should not be charged by CAL for their use. As a result ACCE will not seek or redistribute funds on behalf of CAL.
