Biography

Dr. Carl Braunlich is an Associate Professor on the faculty of the College of Hotel Administration within the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He teaches and consults in the area of strategic human resources management, organizational development and corporate governance. His consulting clients include Wynn Resorts, Las Vegas Sands, MGM Resorts International, Caesars Entertainment, International Game Technology (IGT), Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation and Atlantic Lottery Corporation. Dr. Braunlich is the author of an upcoming textbook, The Business of Hospitality: Fundamentals of Hotel, Restaurant, Casino and Convention Operations, published by Stanton Avenue Press.

Dr. Braunlich has held executive positions with Golden Nugget Operating Corporation in Atlantic City, New Jersey and Resorts International in Nassau, The Bahamas. He is currently Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Full House Resorts, Inc. and is Chairman of the company’s Compensation Committee and a Member of its Compliance and Audit Committees. As a member of the Full House Resorts, Inc. Board of Directors, the Nevada Gaming Commission, Indiana Gaming Commission and Mississippi Gaming Commission have approved Dr. Braunlich for a finding of suitability and key licensure. Dr. Braunlich frequently presents on compliance and regulatory issues in the casino industry. He is co-editor of International Casino Law, 3rd Edition, published by the University of Nevada, Reno.

Dr. Braunlich has been a faculty member of the hotel and restaurant management programs of Cornell University, Purdue University, and the University of the West Indies. Dr. Braunlich holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration and a Doctorate of Business Administration from United States International University where he received an Award of Merit for Outstanding Achievements in Doctoral Studies. He has been a Visiting Scholar with the Macau Polytechnic Institute and the Jingling Hotel Group in Nanjing, China. Dr. Braunlich has completed two sabbatical leaves consulting for opening teams of two casino resorts, the Bellagio (1998) and Wynn Las Vegas (2005).



Dr. Braunlich is the primary design consultant for the responsible gaming strategies of Caesars Entertainment, a ten-year development effort resulting in casino responsible gaming programs that have been recognized as an industry benchmark. Dr. Braunlich has presented these strategies at gaming conferences throughout the United States and in Macau, Singapore, China, Britain and Canada. Dr. Braunlich is the co-author of the Responsible Gaming Resource Guide, published by the American Gaming Association, and the author of an upcoming book, Responsible Gaming Programs: Corporate Social Responsibility for the Gaming Industries, published by Stanton Avenue Press. He is a Member of the Board of Directors for the Nevada Council on Problem Gambling
