(iii) ANDREW JACKSON TAYLOR ("Andrew Taylor") born about 1816. The 1850 census for Randolph County, Alabama lists the family of Simpson Russell and his wife Louisa Russell and their 7 children. Also living in the same household was And. J. Taylor ("Andrew Jackson Taylor" & “Andrew Taylor”) who listed as being insane. This probably was the same person who was listed in the household of Malachi R. Taylor ("Malachi Taylor") in the 1860 census for Randolph County, Alabama;



(iv) SOLOMON STEWART TAYLOR ("Solomon Taylor") born March 22, 1818 in Georgia, married Emily Pruitt December 9, 1838 in Troup County, Georgia, died January 9, 1893 in Randolph County, Alabama, and is buried in Zion Rest Cemetery in Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama. Emily Pruitt was born July 2, 1820, died July 8, 1881 in Randolph County, Alabama, and is buried with her husband.

In the 1850 census for Chambers County, Alabama, the household of Solomon Taylor was listed as then comprising Solomon Taylor age 32 and his wife Emily Taylor age 28, together with their 6 children: Georgia Taylor ("George Taylor"?) age 11; Mary Taylor age 9; Sarah Taylor age 7; Elizabeth Taylor age 5; Zachery Taylor ("Zachary Taylor"?) age 3; and, Rollin Taylor ("Rowena Taylor""?) as 1 month old when the census was taken November 18, 1850.

In the 1860 census for Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama, the household of Solomon Taylor was then listed as comprising Solomon S. Taylor ("Solomon Taylor") age 42 and his wife Emily Taylor age 39, together with their 9 children: George W. Taylor ("George Taylor") age 20; Mary A. Taylor ("Mary Taylor") age 18; Sarah J. Taylor ("Sarah Taylor") age 16; Elizabeth Taylor age 14; Zachry Taylor ("Zachery Taylor" & "Zachary Taylor") age 12; Rowena F. Taylor ("Rowena Taylor") age 10; William H. Taylor ("William Henry Taylor"? & "William Taylor") age 8; James E.J. Taylor ("James Taylor") age 5; and Thornton D. Taylor ("Thornton Taylor") age 2.

In the 1870 census for Randolph County, Alabama, then living in the household of Solomon Taylor were himself age 45 and his wife Emily Taylor age 40, together with their 8 children: Mary Taylor age 29; Jane Taylor ("Sarah Taylor") age 26; Bettie Taylor ("Elizabeth Taylor") age 23; Zachery Taylor ("Zachary Taylor"?) age 21; Roena Taylor ("Rowena Taylor") age 18; Henry Taylor ("William Henry Taylor" & "William Taylor") age 17; Cepus Taylor ("James E.J. Taylor"? & "James Taylor"?) age 14; and, Thorton Taylor age 12. The families of Solomon Taylor's brothers Tilmon Taylor and William Taylor, together with his brother Elijah Taylor's widow Elen Taylor were then living nearby. Solomon Taylor and Emily Taylor had 9 children:
