Samuel Estes was the son of John Calder Estes ("John Estes") born August 30, 1796 in Halifax County, Virginia, married Margaret Jones on December 23, 1818 in Halifax County, Virginia, died July 27, 1881 at the age of 85, and is buried at Mr. Carmel Cemetery in Christian County, Missouri. Elizabeth Ann Estes ("Elizabeth Estes") was also the daughter of John Calder Estes. ("John Estes"). Melsina Woods later married Samuel Estes. James Woods and Martha had 4 children:

Mary Frances Hurst, daughter of William Hurst, was born March 17, 1850 in Petersburg, Lincoln County, Tennessee, died October 18, 1929 in Hillsboro, Hill County, Texas, and is buried in Ridge Park Cemetery, Hillsboro, Hill County, Texas. William Cavner (“William Cavender”?) and Mary Cavner (“Mary Cavender”) went to Texas from Missouri in 1872, approximately 3 months before their son Ed Cavner (“Edward Cavender”?) was born on March 23, 1873. However, by another account, they left Missouri shortly after their daughter Ida Dell Cavner ("Ida Cavner") was born on July 10, 1870.419 They traveled by covered wagon in a wagon train which comprised the families of Hurst, Cavner and Mahuron, and they later moved from Grayson County, Texas to Hill County, Texas, and finally resided on the farm in south Texas a mile west of Lovelace, between Itasca and Hillsboro. Note that the spelling of the line of William Patrick Cavner are spelled C-A-V-N-E-R, instead of Cavener. The children of William Cavner and Mary Hurst Cavner were:

On January 1, 1898, the Jeter Booker family moved from Hill County, Texas to a farm south of Greer County, Oklahoma and what is now Hedrick, Jackson County, Oklahoma. According to family lore, the family came to Navajo and stayed for a few days in an old empty building south of the Navajo Mountains and which had a half dugout where they cooked and a log cabin where they slept. Jeter Booker purchased the land from a Mr. Shelton and paid $310 for 160 acres which included a two room house and outbuildings. Jetter Booker and Ida Booker had 13 children:
