DeMetta Cavender and Estel Hinkle was married December 30, 1925 at the age of 21 with Rev. G.W. Holt performing the ceremony in Kanawha County, West Virginia. Estel Hinkle was born February 26, 1901, was married when he was 22 years of age, died September 21, 1971, and is buried in the Doughty Cemetery at Three Mile, Coopers Creek, West Virginia. Estel Hinkle and DeMetta Hinkle had a daughter named: Jacqueline Hinkle who was born December 1, 1927, and married Roy F. Doughty ("Roy Doughty"). Roy Doughty was born March 5, 1928, later married a Galdiolus, died September 6, 1981 in Charleston, West Virginia at the age of 53, and is buried in the Daughty Cemetery in Three Mile, Coopers Creek, West Virginia. Cavender” & "Loretta Cavender") who first married Paul Darnick, and later apparently married a Davis of Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia; Leota Marie Cavender ("Leota Cavender" & “L.M. Cavender”) who married Omega Ray Davis ("Omega Davis") and had no children. Omega Davis was born in 1923, died September 28, 1973 at the age of 50 in Charleston, West Virginia, and is buried in the John Tuff Summers Cemetery in Elkview, Kanawha County, West Virginia; Priscella Ann Cavender ("Priscella Cavender" & “P.A. Cavender”) who first married Frank Ashley, and later married a Banks of Fayetteville, West Virginia. Henry Young in Kanawha County, West Virginia. Thomas Fisher was born about 1860 and married when he was 24 years of age; (5) LENA CAVENDER ("Laura Manda Cavender"? & "Laura Cavender")born either about 1869433 & 494 or in January 1870459 and she was married 5 times. She first married an unknown Helmick, later married Clyde Weakley, still later married an unknown Lynch, still later Samuel Lafayette Jones ("Samuel Jones" & "Samuel LaFayette Jones"?) on April 16, 1899 when she was 30 years of age and he was a widower and 65 years old, and the ceremony was conducted by Rev. M.A. Lively, and was divorced She still later married Peter Slater on September 9, 1906 when she was a widow at the age of 35 and he was a widower at the age of 45. Samuel Jones was born December 15, 1833, was a widower and 65 years of age when he married Lena Cavender, and he died January 12, 1902. Peter Slater was born about 1861 The children of Lena Helmick were: Herbert H. Helmick ("Herbert Helmick") who had 3 children named: Herbert H. CAVENDER ("Floyd Cavender" & “F.H. Cavender”) born January10, 1873 in Kanawha County, West Virginia, married Dicie B. Jordan ("Dicie Jordon" & "Dicie Jordan") on January 31, 1901 in Kanawha County, West Virginia, was a school teacher and a member of the Starcher Baptist Church, died December 28, 1928, and is buried in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Charleston, West Virginia. Dicie Jordon was born July 14, 1880 and died March 29, 1959 at the age of 78. Apparently Floyd Cavender was drunk and fell in a frozen river and froze his leg which had to be amputated. His leg is buried in Coopers Creek, West Virginia near the Coopers Creek A.C. Church on the Chapman farm which is now owned by Basil P. Canterberry ("Basil Canterberry"). After Floyd Cavender died, Dicie Cavender married Wess Branam on October 14, 1932 in Kanawha County, West Virginia and who was divorced and 48 years of age. Dicie Cavender was then a widow and 48 years of age and the ceremony was conducted by Rev. T.L. Nicholas. Floyd Cavender and Dicie Cavender had 4 children: Mable Cavender who married Herbert Parsley (“Herbert Paisle”?). Herbert Parsley and Marble Parlsey had a son named: Richard Lee Parsley ("Richard Parsley") born June 20, 1929, served in the U.S. Army Air Force in Korea, died December 27, 1969, and is buried in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Charleston, West Virginia; Ada Fantonia Cavender ("Ada Fantonia Cavender" & "Ada Cavender") born June 6, 1903, married David Collins August 18, 1918 when she was age 15 with the ceremony being conducted by Rev. J.H. Hill in Kanawha County, West Virginia, died May 15, 1983, and is buried in the Mountain View Memorial Park Cemetery in Charleston, West Virginia. David Collins was born about 1894, was 24 years of age when he married, and is buried in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Charleston, West Virginia. The children of David Collins and Ada Collins were: Myrtle Madeline Collins ("Myrtle Collins") born about 1921 and married Clyde Richards and they had 3 children and lived in Charleston, West Virginia; Howard Harrison Collins ("Howard Collins") born about 1923; Edward David Collins ("Edward Collins") born about 1925 and died about 1973; and, Phyllis Jean Collins ("Phyllis Collins") who married Russell Ray Burdette ("Russell Burdette") April 28, 1946. Russell Burdette and Phyllis Burdette had 2 children: William Lee Burdette ("William Burdette" & "Bill Burdette") born August 21, 1950 and married Donna Lynn Guthrie who was born February 18, 1950. William Burdette and Donna Burdette had 2 children: William Lee Burdette, Jr. ("William Burdette") born June 8, 1971; and, Renee Nichole Burdette ("Renee Burdette") born May 21, 1974; and, Ray Burdette; Macel Cavender who married Kellis C. Taylor ("Kellis Taylor"); O.G. Cavender born July 1906, died May 1, 1908, and is buried in the Cavender Cemetery in Five Mile, Coopers Creek, West Virginia; and, an unknown child; (8)SUSAN CAVENDER born either about 1875494 or about 1876459 in Coopers Creek, Kanawha County, West Virginia, and married John A. Martin ("John Martin") on October 23, 1895 when she was 20 years of age with Rev. B.C.S. Harkins performing the ceremony in Kanawha County, West Virginia. John Martin was born about 1872 and was the son of William B. Martin ("William Martin") born about 1830 and Nancy born about 1836, and was 22 years of age when he married Susan Cavender; (9)MARY EMMA CAVENDER ("Mary Cavender", Mary E. Cavender”, “M.E. Cavender” & "Elizabeth Cavender") born March 21, 1877 in Kanawha County, West Virginia, married William Henry Legg ("William Legg") on September 8, 1895 when she was 17 years of age and with Rev. M.E. Jackson performing the ceremony in Kanawha County, West Virginia, and died about on June 3, 1954 in Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia. William Legg was born about 1870, was the son of Daniel Legg and Sarah Burdette, and was 25 years of age when he married. The children of William Legg and Mary Legg were: William Clarence Legg ("William Legg") born June 21, 1895 in Kanawha County, West Virginia, and died February 4, 1941; Mary Elizabeth Legg ("Mary Legg") born on either June 11, 1900 or on June 22, 1898494 in Charleston Kanawha County, West Virginia, married David Silverman, was a member of Elmore Memorial Advent Christian Church, died February 27, 1987 at the age of 87, and is buried in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Charleston, West Virginia. David Silverman was born December 2, 1893 and died December 1, 1946. The children of David Silverman and Mary Silverman were: Harry D. Silverman ("Harry Silverman") who married a Phyllis and lived in Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia; Geraldine Silverman who married an O'Dell; and, Doris Jean Silverman ("Doris Silverman") who married a Wiblin; Ira Cecil Legg (“Cecil Ira Legg”?, "Ira Legg" & “Cecil Legg”) born June 5, 1901 in Little Sandy, Kanawha County, West Virginia, married Anna Alice Harkins (“Anna Harkins”) on March 12, 1921 in Kanawha County, West Virginia, and died on October 27, 1972; and, three infants subsequently born and died at birth; and, (10) HENRY FRYE CAVENDER ("Henry Cavender" & “H.F. Cavender”) born July 30, 1880 in Kanawha County, West Virginia, married Martha S. Strickland ("Martha Strickland") on June 22, 1904 in Kanawha County, West Virginia, was a member of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church, died April 19, 1951 in Edgewood Acres, Kanawha County, West Virginia, and is buried in the Hope Cemetery in Charleston, Kanawh County, West Virginia. Martha Strickland was born September 23, 1882 and died October 1967 at the age of 86 in Kanawha County, West Virginia. Henry Cavender and Martha Strickland Cavender (“Martha Cavender”) had 7 children: Walter Lee Cavender ("Walter Cavender" & “W.L. Cavender”) born October 5, 1907 in Kanawha County, West Virginia, married Helen Vaughn on November 13, 1925 in Kanawha County, West Virginia, became a Captain on the Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia, Police Department, died September 1, 1957 in the Charleston, Kanwah County, West Virginia at the age of 49 as a result of a heart attack, and is buried in the Cunningham Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Albans, West Virginia.
