Jennifer Johnson Henson is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Cross Keys H.S. in DeKalb County and received her Bachelor of Science degree from the Stetson School of Business and Economics, Mercer University. Jennifer is currently Comptroller at Georgia Power’s Customer Care Center in McDonough, Georgia, which is part of the Customer Service Organization. She began her career in 1991 as a secretary in the Marketing Dept. Presently, Jennifer’s responsibilities include responding to her clients’ needs by: developing and analyzing budget reports, representation reports, employee tracking documents, Affirmative Action information, supplier diversity reports, net income reports; and, evaluating business and financial data for strategic decision making; selection facilitation; procurement card education and audits; and , administrative liaison. Jennifer is a member of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. She is Chapter Coordinator of the Atlanta Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) and has previously served as assistant treasurer, and as James K. Davis Scholarship chair. She also serves on the advisory board of the Peachtree Urban Writing Project. Her hobbies include traveling, reading and watching sports on the collegiate and professional levels. Mrs. Henson is married to Dr. Stanley J. Henson, an administrator in the DeKalb County Board of Education system; between them they have five children, all of which have either undergraduate and/or graduate degrees in either business, accounting, engineering, law, journalism, education, or medicine.
