The what of innovations focus and scope
The focus and scope of innovation will be based on the 4 Ps Framework (product, process, position and
paradigm) I. Innovation to introduce or improve products or services – a change in what is offered to address new product concept of digitalization II. Innovation to introduce or improve processes – changing how a product is created or delivered. These might be incremental improvements in key performance parameters (time, cost, quality) through mechanisms such as improved and digitized supply-chain management III. Innovation to define or redefine the positioning of products, organizations and government sectors – or a change in the context, and way in which a product or process is applied. IV. Innovation to define or redefine the dominant paradigms of an organization and government sector – changes in the underlying mental and business models. Incremental change in this area might focus on the extension of a particular business in anew and digital way
