An Liansuo
An Liansuo, male, was born in October 1955 of Han nationality. He is now professor and PhD student supervisor at the School of Energy, Power and Mechanical Engineering, North China Electric Power University, and Vice President of North China Electric Power University.
Professor An Liansuo is committed to teaching and research in the fields of thermal energy and power engineering. He has lectured on Fluid Mechanics, Pumps and Fans and Application of Optimal Technology in Thermal Power Plants for undergraduates and postgraduates. In the research fields of mechanical security and economic operation of thermal equipment and large rotary equipment, acoustic detection of state of power station equipment (real-time acoustic monitoring of the flame temperature field in furnace, and acoustic monitoring and positioning of leakage of the four tubes) and utilization and assessment systems for regional energy, he has undertaken 2 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 subproject under the “863 Program”, 3 projects supported by the Research Fund for the Doctoral Program of Higher Education of China and many horizontal research projects. In education and teaching reform, he has undertaken 5 projects at the national level and many projects at the provincial and ministerial level regarding cultivation of practical abilities and innovation capabilities in engineering education.
Professor An has won the Second Prize for the National Teaching Achievement Award of China once, the First, Second and Third Prize for the Teaching Achievement Award at the provincial and ministerial level once respectively, and Third Prize for the Science and Technology Progress Award at the provincial or ministerial level once. In Chinese and foreign core journals, he has published more than 100 academic papers with 40 have been collected by EI, as well as 21 papers on education and teaching research and issued 4 textbooks. In 2000, Professor An enjoyed the special government allowance; in 2006, he was selected as an Excellent Expert under the Management of Hebei Province; and in 2007, he was invited to be a member of the China Experts Committee for Higher Engineering Education Accreditation. Concurrently, he is also an executive member of the Chinese Society of Power Engineering, executive member of the Beijing Association of Higher Education, Vice Chairman of the 4th Session of the Hebei Association of Higher Education, and Deputy Director of the Energy and Power Engineering Teaching Committee, China Electric Power Education Association. Professor An has cultivated many doctoral and master degree candidates.

Chen Chuanmin
Chen Chuanmin, male, was born in February 1973 in Henan Province and of Han nationality. He graduated from Southeast University with a doctor's degree of engineering in thermal power engineering in May 2005. He is now professor and PhD student supervisor at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, North China Electric Power University. He conducted postdoctoral research at the Energy and Environment Research Center (USA) from February 2008 to March 2009. He delivered lectures on Environmental Monitoring, Fuel & Oil Use, and Atmospheric Environment Sciences for undergraduates and postgraduates."
His primary research interests include the control of coal burning pollution. In recent years, he has undertaken one project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and multiple projects on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Hebei Province, as well as many enterprises and institutions in research fields of desulfurization, denitrification, and demercuration. As project leader he has had over RMB8 million at his disposal in research projects.
His research achievements include two provincial and ministerial awards for science and technology progress, and over 40 academic papers published at domestic and foreign authoritative journals, among which 15 and 20 papers have been collected by SCI and EI respectively; he has obtained three national invention patents.

Chen Haiping
Chen Haiping, male, was born in March 1963. He obtained the doctor’ degree of engineering from North China Electric Power University in June 2002, and conducted visiting research at BP-Clean Energy Research & Education Center, Tsinghua University from June 2004 to February 2006, and conducted visiting research at the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment at Princeton University from January 2010 to January 2011. He is now professor and PhD student supervisor at the School of Energy, Power and Mechanical Engineering, North China Electric Power University, Deputy Director of the National Thermal Power Engineering & Technology Research Center. Concurrently, he is also an expert of energy conservation at the National Energy Conservation Center, expert in electric power industry energy conservation with the China Electricity Council, member of the Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler Technical Subcommittee of the National Professional Standardization Techniques Committee, and reviewer with the journal Proceedings of the CSEE.
Currently, he is mainly engaged in teaching and research in the field of thermal power engineering, and delivered lectures for undergraduates and postgraduates on Principles of Steam Turbine, Thermal Power Stations, Energy-saving Principle, Performance Analysis of Thermodynamic System in Power Plant, and Optimization Techniques Applied in Thermal Engineering of Power Plant. In key technological fields of energy economy and energy/water conservation technology, safe and economic operation of thermodynamic system and equipment in power plant, and solar power comprehensive utilization, he undertook over 20 projects launched under the national 863 program or on behalf of Beijing Municipality Science and Technology Program and some state-owned large-scale power generation groups. He has obtained one Third Prize of National Award for Science and Technology Progress in electric power construction, one Third Prize for Science and Technology Progress of the State Grid Corporation of China, and one Second Prize for Science and Technology Progress of Hebei Electric Power Corporation, the State Grid Corporation of China. He has published over 130 academic papers, over 30 of which have been collected by EI. In particular, his paper titled "Thermal Unit Matrix Analysis Method for Thermal Economy of the Gland Stealing System" was rated as excellent paper by the Thermal Power Special Committee of the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering. He participated in the writing of three books, namely Unabridged Dictionary -- Energy Science Volume, Energy Knowledge and Energy Conservation Tricks, and Optimal Dispatching and Operation Strategies for Enterprises of Thermoelectricity Cogeneration.

Chen Hongwei
Chen Hongwei, male, was born in January 1965 in Chongqing and of Han nationality. He graduated from Southeast University with a doctor’s degree of engineering in thermal power engineering in May 1996. He is now professor, PhD student supervisor and member of the Boiler Special Committee of the Chinese Society of Power Engineering. He conducted research as a collaborator at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO, Australia) from May 2004 to July 2005, and as a visiting scholar at Imperial College London (UK) from November 2006 to November 2007.
In recent years, he has presided over or participated as a chief researcher in over 20 horizontal and lengthways projects and published over 80 academic papers, over 20 of which have been collected by EI; he has obtained one invention patent and two patents for utility models.
His primary research interests include clean coal technology, thermodynamic process of power station boiler, pollutant control and simulation, gas-solid two-phase flow and detection, renewable energy technology, equipment and system.
He is now undertaking multiple horizontal projects. He is now mainly devoted himself to research in the fields of coal gasification in molten salt, real-time monitoring and assessment of conventional and combined cycle thermodynamic processes, monitoring and analysis of gas-solid fluidization process dynamic characteristics, and technologies aimed at converting biomass/solid waste into usable resources.

Chen Yunbo
Chen Yunbo, male, was born in 1935. He is now professor and PhD student supervisor at the School of Energy, Power and Mechanical Engineering, North China Electric Power University and as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Concurrently, he is also Vice Chairman of the 8th Council of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society as well as Director of its Advisory Committee, Deputy Chief Engineer of China Academy of Machinery Science & Technology, Dean of the Material Engineering Technology Research Institute, Vice Chairman of the China Energy Society, and Director of the Academic Committee of the National Key Laboratory for Advanced Mature Technology & Equipment under China Academy of Machinery Science & Technology. He was awarded the honorary title of Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions to the State in 1988, enjoyed special government allowance by the State Council in 1991, and was appointed as academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 1999.
Professor Chen Yunbo has long been at the forefront of scientific research, conducted research in the fields of materials, material processing, surface engineering, surface corrosion prevention, battery materials, and mold technology; he has made many academic and technological breakthroughs in many areas, including solving key manufacturing technology problems associated with major engineering equipment and other related issues, generic technology in new materials and new processes, surface engineering technology, and the index system of environmental damage failure and resistance on materials. He has undertaken a series of research projects over the years, including national key and special projects associated with advanced materials used for national defense in the field of new materials in the 10th and 11th Five-year Plan periods, special projects and subprojects listed under the National 863 Program and National 973 Program, technical attack projects, and scientific support projects included in the 11th Five-year Plan. In recent years, he has undertaken the research work of major special projects of national science and technology in succession, including Efficient Clean Heat Treatment for Large Casting and Forging Weldment, Research into Near Net Shape Forming for Materials and the Plastic Deformation Mechanism of Magnesium Alloys and Related Forming and Processing Technologies, High-end Mold Materials and Advanced Preparative Techniques, Research into Ion Chemical Heat Treatment Technology, Ultra-fine Crystal Technology in Iron and Steel Materials, Anode Materials in Lithium Ion Batteries, Non Quenched and Tempered Technology for Forging (or rolling) Pieces of Structural Material, Numerical Simulation of the Heat Treatment Process for Large Forging Piece, and Multifunctional Composite Materials.
He has won over a dozen awards of science and technology achievement, including the national award for science and technology progress and invention, provincial and ministerial award for science and technology progress, and obtained four invention patents. He has published three monographs and over 100 papers. He has cultivated over ten doctoral and master degree candidates.
His primary research interests include metal materials, material ultra-fine crystal technology, surface engineering, metal base composite materials, and develop of new energy materials.

Cheng Youliang
Cheng Youliang, male, was born in November 1963 in Hubei Province and of Han nationality. He graduated from Shanghai University with a doctor's degree of engineering in hydromechanics in April 1998. He is now professor, PhD student supervisor, and member of the editorial board of Chinese Journal of Hydrodynamics. He conducted postdoctoral research in Mechanics Discipline at the Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences from February 2003 to February 2005; and conducted research as a visiting scholar at the Water Research Centre of the University of New South Wales (Australia) from March 2011 to March 2012.
Professor Cheng Youliang specializes in teaching and research in the field of fluid machinery and engineering. He has taught a number of courses to both undergraduates and postgraduates, including Hydromechanics, Pumps and Fans, Advanced Hydromechanics, Hydrodynamics, Water Wave Theory & Application, Higher Mathematics, and some branches of Engineering Mathematics. He has cultivated over 20 master degree candidates and jointly cultivated 1 doctoral candidate.
In recent years, he has presided over or participated in over 10 horizontal and lengthways projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National 863 Program, and published over 50 academic papers, over 10 of which have been collected by SCI or EI; he has obtained 1 patent for utility model. He was awarded the second prize by the State Education Commission for science and technology progress once, and as a participator for provincial excellent courses.
His primary research interests include hydrodynamics theory and its application, fluid equipment and energy conservation, renewable energy theory and its application, and differential equation theory and its application. At present, he mainly focuses research in the fields of optimization of air-cooled condenser, acquisition and drainage engineering in power plant and their interaction with the surroundings and the cooling system, liquid membrane dynamic theory and its application, sea waves and their interaction with the structures, and utilization of sea wave energy.

Du Xiaoze
Du Xiaoze, male, was born in January 1970 in Hebei Province and of Han nationality. He graduated from Tsinghua University with a doctor's degree of engineering in engineering thermo physics in January 2000. He serves as a professor and Deputy Director of Key Laboratory for Power Station Equipment Condition Monitoring & Control, Ministry of Education. He is a member of the Higher Education Teaching Guidance Committee for the Thermal Engineering Foundation Course, Ministry of Education, member of Air Cooling Special Committee for the Thermal Power Branch of the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering, and Council Member of Beijing Thermophysics & Energy Engineering Society as well as Director of its Youth Special Committee. He is a reviewer for over 20 domestic and foreign academic journals like International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, International Journal of Thermal Science, and Applied Thermal Engineering.
At present, he is undertaking a number of research projects as a leader, including projects under the National 973 Program, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Doctoral Fund of Ministry of Education of China, Beijing Municipality Scientific and Technological Plan, and projects on behalf of large-scale state-owned electric power group or electric power design institute as well as committed horizontal projects. In recent five years, he has had over 20 of his academic papers collected by SCI and over 60 collected by EI; his papers had been cited over 300 times; obtained one Second Prize of the National Award for Science and Technology Progress, and one First Prize for Science and Technology Progress Award by the Ministry of Education. He was incorporated into the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University of Ministry of Education and won the Mao Yisheng Science and Technology Award of Beijing Association for Science and Technology.
His primary research interests include energy conservation theory and technology, power plant air cooling technology, seawater desalination, and solar thermal energy utilization technology.

Duan Liqiang
Duan Liqiang, male, was born in March 1973 in Shanxi Province. He is a professor, doctor of engineering, postdoctoral researcher, and PhD student supervisor at the School of Energy, Power and Mechanical Engineering, North China Electric Power University. He was selected as "Excellent Talent of Beijing" in 2012. He graduated from Taiyuan University of Technology with a bachelor's degree in 1996; obtained his master's degree from the North China Electric Power University in 1999, and his doctor's degree from the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2002. While pursuing his doctor's degree, he participated in national scientific and technical tackling project under the "9th Five-year Plan" of "Key Technology for the Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC)," making major breakthroughs in such areas as IGCC system comprehensive optimization, zero CO2 emission IGCC system development, and a multi-goal assessment criteria that combines the thermal and environmental aspects. The project won the Second Prize for Science and Technology Award in China Electric Power in 2002. He began to work at the School of Energy, Power and Mechanical Engineering of the North China Electric Power University in 2003 and was promoted to the technical title of associate professor in 2006 and the title of professor in 2013. He was hired as a PhD student supervisor in 2014. He went to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to participate in MIT Energy Initiative as a visiting scholar during the period from 2008 to 2009, and participated in collaborative research project between MIT and British Petroleum in Carbon Conversion and Utilization, and achieved some major results.
At present, he is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), member of the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics, member of the Thermodynamics & Engineering Application Specialized Committee of China Energy Research Society, communication reviewer for general projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, evaluation expert for projects supported by Beijing Natural Science Foundation, and an invited expert reviewer with many domestic and foreign famed journals like Energy, International Journal of Energy Research, International Journal of Applied Energy, Energy Conversion and Management, and Proceedings of the CSEE.
He is mainly engaged his research in the fields of advanced energy system integration and optimization, including design and optimization of clean coal power generation system, distributed energy supply system, and low energy consumption recycle CO2 dynamical system. He presided over two projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one project under the National 863 Program, one project funded by the Scientific Research Foundation for Returned Scholars, Ministry of Education, one project funded by Excellent Talents of Beijing, and some projects supported by the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities. He participated as a major researcher in many projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, major and special projects by the Ministry of Education, and National 973 Program by the Ministry of Science and Technology. He has published over 70 papers in Chinese and foreign core journals, over 10 of which have been collected by SCI while most of the rest have been collected by EI; he has applied for and obtained 13 invention patents, published one translation works and compiled 3 books.

Fu Dong
Fu Dong, male, was born in October 1974 in Fujian Province and of Han nationality. He graduated from Tsinghua University with a doctor's degree of engineering in chemical engineering in July 2002. He is now professor, PhD student supervisor and Deputy Dean at the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, North China Electric Power University.
Professor Fu Dong focuses his teaching and research in the fields of energy and environmental engineering. He delivered lectures for undergraduates and postgraduates on courses as Coal Chemical Industry, Progress of Pollution Control Chemistry, and Coal Conversion Technology. In the fields of chemical capture of CO2 in flue gas and supercritical application, he undertook four research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one subject under the National 863 Program, and many other scientific research projects sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Hebei Provincie.
His research results include one Second Prize and one Third Prize of Provincial and Ministerial Award for Natural Science, and over 100 academic papers published at domestic and foreign authoritative journals, over 70 of which have been collected by SCI, and which have been cited nearly 300 times by peers; he won two national invention patents. In 2006, he was incorporated into the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University of Ministry of Education and Outstanding Youth of Hebei Province; he was incorporated into "Academic Leader" Support Plan of the North China Electric Power University in 2009 and in 2013, and won Science Funds for Distinguished Young Scholars of Hebei Province in 2011. Concurrently, he is also member of the editorial board of Hans Journal of Chemical Engineering and Technology, evaluation expert appointed by Hebei Provincial Natural Science Foundation, adjunct professor and PhD student supervisor at Hebei University.

Fu Zhongguang
Fu Zhongguang, male, was born in July 1963 in Xingtai of Hebei Province and of Han nationality. He is a doctor, professor, PhD student supervisor and Dean of the Power Station Unit Operation Optimization Research Institute of the School of Energy, Power and Mechanical Engineering of the North China Electric Power University. He is rated as Beijing City College Teaching Famous Teacher. Currently, he is Deputy Dean of the School of Energy, Power and Mechanical Engineering.
He focuses mainly on areas as safety and energy conservation in energy conversion, equipment condition monitoring, control and information technology in power station, clean coal power generation technology and equipment, and working process and failure prevention of power machinery.
He obtained the bachelor's degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 1983 and doctor's degree from North China Electric Power University in 1999; he conducted research as a visiting scholar at Purdue University United States in 2008; and was rated as Beijing Advanced Individual in Teaching and Virtue in 2010.
He concurrently holds a number of academic posts at many associations and institutions, including council member of Chinese Society for Vibration Engineering, senior member of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, member of the Multiphase Flow Specialized Committee of the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics, standing council member of the Vibration & Noise Control Specialized Committee of Chinese Society for Vibration Engineering, member of the Rotor Dynamics Specialized Committee of Chinese Society for Vibration Engineering, member of the Second Subcommittee of the National Standardization Technical Committee for Vibration, expert reviewer of academic journals like the Proceedings of the CSEE, Journal of Power Engineering, and Journal of Vibration Engineering, peer-review experts of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Science Foundation of Georgia, and member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
He delivered lectures for undergraduates and postgraduates on courses including power engineering, vibration of turbine generator set, principle of steam turbine, gas turbine and combined cycle, freshman professional seminars, rotor dynamics, operating characteristic of large-scale steam turbine, data mining technology and application, and advanced rotor dynamics. He has compiled the national planning textbook of Introduction to Power Engineering, and won "Beijing Excellent Textbook Award" and "Excellent Textbook Award for the Electric Power Industry"; he also wrote the book Steam Turbine Operation and Accident Handling at the Power Station.
He has presided over one project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, undertook one project launched under the National Scientific & Technological Support Program, and eight horizontal research projects; he has published over 110 academic papers, applied for and obtained 10 patents. He has already cultivated over 60 postgraduates and 2 doctoral postgraduates.
