  List subject and date

  If you want to use co-writer (word prediction) do the following: hit applet key, choose #1, co-writer, it will automatically

  Type in notes, journal, paragraph, spelling words, worksheet etc.
  
• 
  If you hit on/off button it is automatically saved (don’t worry)
  
• 
  Place black cord in AlphaSmart and other end in USB port of computer (this is the little door on the front of the computer)
  
• 
  Log into computer, bring up MS Word, word pad or notebook
  
• 
  Hit SEND key on AlphaSmart
  
• 
  Information is automatically downloaded to Word
  
• 
  Use spell check, grammar check or format for how you want it to look
  
• 
  Print out
  
• 
  Save in your Student folder
  
• 
  You can delete the file on AlphaSmart once it is saved on the computer
  

You may wish to work on MS word document at school. You may wish to add using AlphaSmart. Simply bring up the MS word document then SEND what you added with the alphasmart. You may need to work with formatting in Word.
