| The Program of “Klasika” Classic Automobile Club during the Birzai Annual Festival in Birzai, Lithuania on Saturday, August 7th:
The gathering will be at “BP- Baltic Petroleum” gas station on route between Pasvalys and Birzai, 0,5 km before entering the town of Birzai. 11:30 Participant registration 12:30 The classic automobile colony leave the gas station “BP” to Aistrava (A town near Birzai) 13:00-14:00 The colony will stop at Astrava park parking lot near Tiskeviciu Castle. Classic automobile show, explanation and virtual tour of Birzai and its surroundings. 14:00 Participants will leave Astrava park going towards Birzai. 14:30 Together with police escort the pack of classic automobiles will head down Vytautas street to Birzai castle near Independence (Birute’s) monument where the parade will take place. 15:00-18:00 Parade in Independence square. During the parade in Birzai castle a folklore ensemble will take place called “Alaus kelias” [Beer’s way]. The participants of the classic automobile parade will be provided real homemade Birzai beer and snacks. Because space is limited, we ask you to register early. 18:00 The end of the parade. The classic automobile pack will move down Vytautas street toward Birzai airport. 18:30 Camp in the Aeroclub territory. The putting up of tents, live country music, Birzai beer. 19:00 Dinner 19:30 Jokes, quizzes with prizes, chitchatting, flights with planes, and other objects (maybe even brooms)… 20:30 Participants’ participation diploma’s and prizes given out. 21:00 Concert. Duet from popular operas and operetts of Chicago Lithuanian Opera soloist Genovaite Bigenyte and from Klaipeda’s Music Theater soloist Mindaugas Gylys. 22:00 Live country music, dancing, and chatting. August 8th, Sunday 7:00 Oldies market. We kindly invite all buyers and sellers. 8:00 Morning soup. From 9 o’clock to midday (or even longer), flying with airplanes, discussions, events’ discussions, and goodbyes.
