The Delaware Valley Section of the ASGS would like to invite you to the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort in Atlantic City, NJ for our 53^rd Annual ASGS Symposium.
The bustling town of Atlantic City is filled with things to do. Not only does it offer the excitement of gaming on the casino floor, there is a constant variety of world-class entertainment. There are many things to do in and around the city. There is, of course, the beach and world famous boardwalk for starters. There are numerous restaurants to choose from with a wide range of cuisine. Atlantic City also offers a variety of shopping experiences, from the Pier at Caesars, “The Walk” outlet stores and the shops on the boardwalk. You can catch a baseball game at Sandcastle Stadium with the Atlantic City Surf. They are a Minor League baseball team with some former professional players, as well as major league hopefuls on their roster. You can also go surf fishing or charter a boat and go deep-sea fishing for tuna, marlin, shark, bluefish and other varieties. Take a leisurely boat cruise and you will probably see bottle-nosed dolphins and sometimes even a whale. Ocean City, Wildwood and Cape May are also three seaside towns that are close to Atlantic City and worth the drive. Ocean City is a family friendly town with a nice boardwalk and several amusement rides. Wildwood has a larger and longer boardwalk with bigger and faster thrill rides and two water parks. Cape May has a much slower pace, with Victorian homes lining much of the streets and incredible seaside dining. It is the “Nation’s Oldest Seaside Resort” and the entire town is designated as a National Historic Landmark. If possible, take some time to explore not only what Atlantic City has to offer, but what the seaside towns that surround it have to show you as well. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. The Symposium Committees are dedicated to making this a success and an enjoyable and educational experience for everyone. Feel free to volunteer to help.
