Constructing Just Intervals Larger than one Octave

Two intonation tests require compound intervals. To hear them, play the test note in fourth position with the 2^nd finger and use the 4^th finger to play the h2 harmonic on the “G” string. This converts the compound intervals into major and minor thirds:
