They summarise and analyse information that would be useful for IT solutions in education in general as well as in relation to the courses Information Technologies and Home Economics.

Practice of acquisition of practical skills.

In the practice the students participate in preparation of teaching materials, aids and rooms for successful process of studies at the higher school. The students prepare for successful solution of upbringing items, get to know the requirements for the learning environment and quality of materials that are necessary for successful learning, develop the social skills working in a team.

During the pedagogical practice students have to use theoretical knowledge in pedagogical activity, including planning, organizing, control and evaluation of teaching/learning process in home economics and informatics, in work of class upbringing. Students have: 1) to know basis school as educational environment, including pedagogical traditions at school; 2) to do scientific research as well; 3) to form pedagogical competence; 4) to study methodological and scientific literature.
During the first pedagogical practice the students must get acquainted with the teaching and organisational work at school in general and in relation to the subjects Home Economics and Information Technologies. Systematically and carefully preparing for running lessons the necessary pedagogical skills must be formed. The students should get involved in the multisided pedagogical process to be able to implement practically the tasks necessary for the teachers of the subjects as well as for educators. The students must at the same time study the literature related with the theme of their bachelor paper and evaluate the possibilities of implementation of their planned ideas in the conditions of the school carrying out the investigation.
During the second pedagogical practice the students need to practice working as teachers of Home Economics and Information Technologies applying and mastering the special professional skills and developing the competences of a teacher based on the statements acquired in the teaching methodical practice and the present pedagogical practice. The students should train to organise the pupils’ learning at the lessons of Home Economics and Information Technologies. They must at the same time also continue the started research work in the theme of the bachelor paper carrying out the pedagogical research and summarising the data necessary for the description of the research. The students must run a visiting lesson in Home Economics and Information Technologies demonstrating their professional, social and reflection competence. The visiting lesson is assessed by the practice manager, higher school teachers and some other students. Every student must participate in at least one open lesson of his/her peer.

The Bachelor Paper is the state examination at the end of studies. In the bachelor paper the student demonstrates the skills of theoretical and empirical research and testifies his/her professional readiness to receive the teacher qualification (the teacher of Home Economics and Information Technologies). This is a pedagogy and psychology theories’ based research connected with Home Economics and Information Technologies topical problems, including the possibilities of these two subjects mutual integration. The bachelor paper comprises problems of pedagogy and their possible theoretical solutions, methodological solution description, and pedagogical empirical research in which the situation is established and evaluated in connection of the investigated problem, as well as in connection with suggested methodological solution.
The aim of a Bachelor Paper:
To ensure the intensive studies in the field of Home Economics and Information Technologies in Education and to promote teaching competence acquisition.
To develop research skills, demonstrating the ability to perform theoretical and empirical research in pedagogy
