Sneak peek at Henry’s Crime

Up here at the Toronto International Film Festival, I just saw Henry’s Crime, the Keanu Reeves film partially shot in Buffalo last December (on, of course, one of the coldest days of the year). Reviews are embargoed until after the official premiere, but I can say that there’s a much better balance of Buffalo to non-Buffalo footage than, say, Bruce Almighty (almost all of which was filmed in San Diego), and that it should provide a boom in business for Jinlan’s restaurant in Kenmore, where one scene is set. It’s a pleasant comedy with a witty script, especially a finale that theater fans will especially enjoy. No distributor yet, but I’ll be surprised if it doesn’t have one before the end of the week.
