What I learned

Charles Babbage was a computer pioneer. He designed the first automatic computing engines. He invented the computers but failed to build them. The first engine was completed in 2002, 152 years after it was designed. The engine included 8,000 parts and was 11 feet long.

In the early days of the computer, the machine filled the whole room and maintained a team of specialist. This meant that only large companies and organizations could afford it. As the tvs and radios got smaller, the computer got smaller. The same machine that took up the whole room could now fit on top of a desk. It became easier to communicate with computers. Ordinary people could now have computers. The pc is made up of a metal box of a bunch of equipment. There is a metal box. The box is a computer.
