Banks from Latin America where WSBI currently does not have any members, notably:

  • Argentina: Banco De Cordoba (Bancor)

  • Ecuador: Banco Pichincha, Produbanco

  • Honduras: Banco Atlantida

  • Venezuela: BNC - Banco Nacional de Crédito (former Banco Universal), Banesco (with presence also in Colombia, Dominican Republic, Panamá, Puerto Rico, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Portugal, United Kingdom and United States)

Other banks that are also being pursued as prospective members in countries where WSBI already has representatives are:



  • Bolivia: Banco Bisa

  • Dominican Republic: Banco de Reservas

Guatemala: Banco Industrial


A first contact has already been established with these banks with the support of CaixaBank. Membership discussions are ongoing.
