MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLGY (MIT), Cambridge, MA Head Coach - Andy Barlow The Massachusetts Institute of Technology is a private research university located in Cambridge, MA. MIT has an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 4500 student and contains 5 schools and one college for a total of 32 departments. It is often cited as one of the world's top research universities. As of 2015, 85 Nobel laureates, 52 National Medal of Science recipients, 65 Marshall scholars, 45 Rhodes scholars, 38 Macarthur fellows, 34 astronauts and 2 Fields Medal winners have been affiliated with MIT. The school has a strong entrepreneurial culture, and the aggregated revenues of companies founded by MIT alumni would rank as the eleventh largest economy in the world. MIT's baseball program is a part of the nation's largest division 3 athletic department, with 33 varsity sports sponsored. The Engineers have enjoyed success in recent years, with appearances in the NCAA tournament in the past 3 seasons, and four of the last five. The squad has captured the past two NEWMAC conference championship. This past year saw a school record for wins, an appearance in the regional final, and a final national ranking of #24. The team had 3 players named to the Academic All District team, 2 Academic All Americans, 2 ABCA All-Americans and the national rookie of the year. Seven current players were former Stanford All-Star or Stanford Futures campers. OCCIDENTAL COLLEGE, Los Angeles, CA Head Coach - Luke Wetmore Occidental College is one of the top Liberal Arts schools in the country. Founded in 1887 and located in Los Angeles, CA we have a unique blend of a tight-knit community (2,100 students) in a major metropolitan area. We have a very diverse student body, offer 31 majors, and boast a 10-1 student-faculty ratio. Our faculty and student research is an emphasis and we pride ourselves on being a leader in the liberal arts and the sciences. Occidental College has been playing baseball for over 100 years and has a rich tradition. Coach Wetmore took over in 2012 and the Tigers immediately became competitive in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, finishing in the top half of the conference each season. The roster is made up of players from across the country that are committed to competing on the baseball field and in the classroom. Playing baseball in the sunny southern California weather is an added bonus. PACIFIC UNIVERSITY OREGON, Forest Grove, OR Head Coach - Brian Billings Pacific University is a Division III private Liberal Arts University, located in Forest Grove, OR. Forest Grove is located 20 miles outside of Portland, and about 50 miles from the coast in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Pacific itself has just under 1900 undergrads, with an 11-1 student to professor ratio! Exercise Science is the main degree at Pacific, with many majors in the field and also grad schools, including Pharmacy, PT, OT, and hosts the number one Optometry school in the country. Pacific also offers a School of Business, and just about every major out there. With small class sizes and a prestigious education, Pacific is definitely an incredible place to attend for your education. Pacific itself is over 40% athletes, hosting 29 varsity sports, and 9 junior varsity. This gives the athletic programs here at Pacific a ‘big school’ feel for fan base. Our baseball program is fortunate to have some of the best facilities in the country for D3, including a 3 million dollar stadium, 60 yard turfed indoor facility, and a brand new clubhouse. We are one of four schools to win a Northwest Conference title since 2009, and have made big strides under new Head Coach Brian Billings. In his first year we improved from 11 wins to 21, and are extremely excited for our programs future. Go Boxers! POMONA-PITZER, Pomona, CA Head Coach - Frank Pericolosi Pomona College and Pitzer College are independent liberal arts institutions located in Claremont, California at the base of the San Gabriel mountains, 35 miles east of Los Angeles. Both schools are members of The Claremont Colleges; a consortium of five liberal arts colleges and two graduate institutions. Pomona College has a student body of 1600 and is considered to be a Top 5 liberal arts college nationally. Pitzer College has an enrollment of 1100 and is also considered a highly selective liberal arts institution. Student-athletes at Pomona College and Pitzer College combine to play for the Pomona-Pitzer Baseball program. Competing at the NCAA Division III level as a member of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), Pomona-Pitzer has established itself as one of the top programs in the nation over the past decade. Since 2007, the Sagehens have won three SCIAC titles and made four NCAA Tournament appearances while reaching the 25-win plateau in eight of the nine seasons. Additionally, Pomona-Pitzer has been among Division-III programs for having players move onto the professional ranks, having five players selected in the MLB Draft since 2003 and numerous others play professionally overseas in Holland, Belgium, Sweden, Germany, Italy, England, Australia and South Africa. REGIS UNIVERSITY, Denver, CO Head Coach - Chris Terry Founded in 1877, Regis University, is a private, four-year, co-educational Jesuit Catholic university of approximately 2,100 full-time traditional-aged undergraduate students, the majority of whom live in our beautiful 100-acre campus located just 5 minutes from down Denver. Regis provides values-based education at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels. Athletically, Regis University competes at the NCAA Division II level and in the nationally competitive Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) ROLLINS COLLEGE, Winter Park, FL Head Coach - Jon Sjogren Rollins College is a private, coeducational liberal arts college located in Winter Park, Florida along the shores of Lake Virginia. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 1,884, of which 41% of the population is male and 59% female. The first college in Florida, Rollins was founded in 1885 by a group of Northerners who wanted to give the children of Florida's rapidly growing population the opportunity to experience a New England education. Rollins has grown from a college of three wooden buildings to a startlingly beautiful 70-acre campus of Spanish-Mediterranean architecture.
SACRAMENTO STATE UNIVERSITY, Sacramento, CA Head Coach - Reggie Christansen California State University, Sacramento (Sacramento State, informally Sac State), founded in 1947 as Sacramento State College, is a public comprehensive university in the city of Sacramento, the capital city of the U.S. state of California. It is the eleventh oldest school in the 23 campus California State University system. The university enrolls approximately 29,000 students annually. The university offers 151 different Bachelor's degrees, 69 Master's degrees, 28 types of teaching credentials, and 2 Doctoral degrees. Among 24 Division-I baseball teams in California, the Hornets are tied for the 7th most wins over the last four seasons. The team has won 138 total games since 2012, tied with Pepperdine and more than several other perennial postseason qualifiers such as Stanford, UC Santa Barbara, Long Beach State, Cal, USC, and Fresno State. Over the last four seasons Christiansen's program has received an All-American Honor (Rhys Hoskins), two all-West Region selections, four Freshman All-American Honors, three WAC Freshmen of the Year, and two WAC Player of the Year honors while Christiansen has twice been named the WAC Coach of the Year. The squad has also won 30 or more games in four straight seasons, the longest such streak since a string of nine straight 30-win seasons from 1985-1993. SAN JOSE STATE UNIVERSITY, San Jose, CA Head Coach - Dave Nakama San José State University (commonly referred to as San Jose State or SJSU) is a comprehensive public university located in San Jose, California, United States. It is the founding school of the 23 campus California State University (CSU) system, and holds the distinction of being the oldest public institution of higher education on the West Coast of the United States. Located in downtown San Jose, the SJSU main campus is situated on 154 acres (62 ha), or roughly 19 square blocks. SJSU offers 134 bachelor and master’s degrees with 110 concentrations and five credential programs with 19 concentrations. In that time the Broncos have seen improvements across the board both on the field and off. The team made its first post-season appearance since 1997, in 2014 with a trip to the WCC Playoffs and a 16-11 record in WCC play. In 2015 the Broncos had two first team All-WCC players, Jose Vizcaino Jr., and Reece Karalus who were drafted in the 7th and 8th rounds respectively. With a focus on recruiting players who are a great fit for the program, and a motto of Relentless Development, the Broncos continue to be a program on the rise. SEATTLE UNIVERISTY, Seattle, WA Head Coach - Donny Harrel Seattle University, founded in 1891, is a Jesuit Catholic university located on 50 acres in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood. More than 7,400 students are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs within nine schools and colleges..
Last year, we completed our best season to date. Including two wins over #5 Washington, a win over #1 Cal Poly, and a win against our other PAC 12 foe, Washington State. We set a record for wins in a season, including a trip to postseason. This past season, we soared even higher with a program best 31 wins and a trip to the conference championship game, including three Major League Baseball draft selections. ST. JOHN FISHER COLLEGE, Pittsford, NY Head Coach - Brandon Potter St. John Fisher College is a private liberal arts college located in Pittsford, New York, a suburb of Rochester, NY. Fisher offers 35 undergraduate majors, 13 master’s programs, and 3 doctoral programs. Some of the more popular areas of study include accounting, pharmacy, nursing, and education. Fisher has also been the home of the Buffalo Bills preseason training camp since 2000. Notable Fisher alumni include Russ Brandon (President of the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres), Paul Hewitt (former head basketball coach at Georgia Tech and George Mason), and Edward Stack (Chairman and CEO of Dick’s Sporting Goods). The Cardinals’ baseball program competes at the Division III level in the Empire 8 conference. The baseball team has been one of the most successful in the country over the last several years. Since 2010, the program has amassed 171 wins (three seasons with 30+ wins) with two NCAA Regional appearances and produced 65 All-Conference Players, 29 All-Region selections, 14 ECAC All-Stars, 6 All-Americans, and 5 professional signees, including 1 draft pick in 2010. The Cardinals are consistently recognized as national contenders and have been ranked in the national top-25 multiple times since 2010. STANFORD UNIVERSITY, Palo Alto, CA Head Coach - Mark Marquess Stanford University, officially Leland Stanford Junior University, is a private research university in Stanford, California, and one of the world's most prestigious institutions. Stanford was founded in 1885 by Leland Stanford, former Governor of and U.S. Senator from California and leading railroad tycoon, and his wife, Jane Lathrop Stanford, in memory of their only child, Leland Stanford, Jr., who had died of typhoid fever at age 15 the previous year. Stanford admitted its first students on October 1, 1891 as a coeducational and non-denominational institution. Tuition was free until 1920. The university struggled financially after Leland Stanford's 1893 death and again after much of the campus was damaged by the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. STEVENS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, Hoboken, NJ Head Coach - Kristaps Aldins Stevens Institute of Technology, just minutes away from New York City in Hoboken, NJ, is widely recognized as one of the top academic institutions in the nation. In 2012 Stevens moved up 13 rankings (to #75 in the nation) in the 2013 edition of "Best Colleges" a guidebook published annually by the U.S. News and World Report (Stevens is currently #76 in the recently released 2015 version - click HERE for article). The 13-spot improvement in 2013 was more than any other university in the top 100 list, proving that Stevens is truly a university on the rise! Playing summer collegiate league baseball is also a big part of the Stevens Baseball experience. The past three summers our program has had several players under contract in The Coastal Plain League, Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League, The Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League, The Texas Collegiate League, The New York Collegiate Baseball League, The Beach League, The South Florida Summer Collegiate Baseball League, and the Northwoods League.
