INTRODUCTION

This book is first in a series of experimental books issued by Vaga Books. It has deliberately been created in an abbreviated format in response to a demand for brief reading materials. The sources for this book are two of my previous works LEGERDEMAIN and THE STORY OF AMELIA EARHART. I have made this book as concise and thorough as possible within the confines the abbreviated format.

An additional aim of this series of abbreviated books is to reach the masses to inform them with material that the schools may not always provide and improve understanding of history.
