The package is offered subject to Payroo Limited's Terms of Service. In general, the package is accredited by the Inland Revenue (HMRC) and all payroll processes are run over the Internet. E-filing facilities are included. The payroll system is very user friendly and has more features than most commercially available professional versions. Employees of an organisation can also log in to view and print their pay data at anytime over the Internet. You may have to bear some advertisements if you use a free email system.

B&Q Waste Donation Scheme
Every B&Q store is striving to be a 'good neighbour' by forming partnerships within its local community. B&Q operates a waste donation scheme through all stores. This scheme allows donation of waste materials, for example slightly damaged tins of paint, off-cuts of timber, odd rolls of wallpaper and end of range materials, to community groups, charities and schools. The waste donation scheme is co-ordinated in store either by the environmental champion, duty or Warehouse manager who will keep a Waste Donation Form on file for interested groups. Before any materials are donated, the form must be signed by a representative of the group. Please note that it is company policy that health and safety is taken into consideration, therefore electrical, petrol and gas items are not available for donation. Any waste or surplus stock donated must not be re-sold.

Arthur Rank Centre - Computers for Rural People
Living in a rural area, whether on a farm miles from anywhere, or even in a country town, means spending time and money travelling about to get things done. Email and Internet provide enormous opportunities when you can’t just pop round the corner to the shop or library etc, yet computers are usually expensive items, and few people want to buy one “just to see if one day it might be useful”. Once you have one and know how to use it, and appreciate what it can do, you don’t mind paying but that first step is often inhibited by the cost. The Arthur Rank Centre is committed to supporting the rural community, and has set up the “Computers for Rural People” scheme to provide computers at very low cost to encourage people to take the first step. You are eligible if you are retired or approaching retirement, and have seen how your own computer could enrich your life, if you are a really busy person, and find that organising things by telephone and letter are just too slow. Perhaps if you have children at school, and want them to be able to keep up with their work? At a really low price you can have a computer of your own, pre-loaded with Microsoft software, and delivered to your door, to get you started. The Arthur Rank Centre has made an arrangement with the global charity Oasis, to supply re-furbished computers at charity prices. You are asked to make a voluntary donation of £12 minimum to the Arthur Rank Centre to cover costs and help the charity's charitable work

Sport England - Community Sport Asset Transfer Toolkit
Asset transfer involves the transfer of the ownership of land or buildings from government organisations such as local authorities to community groups such as local sports clubs and trusts, often at a discounted price provided there is a benefit to the local community. The Community Sport Asset Transfer Toolkit is a bespoke, interactive web based tool that provides a step by step guide through each stage of the asset transfer process. Asset transfer is a complex area and can often be a daunting task for a sports club to undertake, especially those run mainly by volunteers. Developed in partnership with Locality - the UK’s leading network for community-led organisations - the toolkit aims to make the process as accessible as possible by providing step by step information, resources and case studies.

British Volunteer Awards
British Volunteer Awards have been launched by The Sunday Telegraph and Waitrose to celebrate unsung heroes who carry out unpaid work in a range of areas, from sport and the arts, to conservation, heritage and working with children.
You can only nominate an individual who is over the age of 18, and the volunteer work must be done in Britain.
There will be 20 winners in all, each receiving £500 – courtesy of Waitrose – for their voluntary organisation
Application Form: Send your name, address and telephone number as well as the name of the person you wish to nominate along with a short explanation outlining the difference they have made (up to 200 words).
Deadline: 30 October 2012.

Diana Award - For individuals aged 12-18 who make a sustained, selfless contribution to their community, and who demonstrate exceptional personal qualities. These young people receive our main Diana Award, which is now assessed by a quality panel of experienced and talented individuals.
Evidence required: 3 testmonials, 2 from adults who know the nominee in a professional capacity plus 1 from someone who has benefitted from the nominee’s work. Certificate of Excellence - For groups of young people aged 12-18 who have worked together to make their communities a better place to be. These young people qualify for our Diana Certificate of Excellence.
Evidence required: 1 detailed testimonial from a young person or adult who knows the group in a professional capacity plus any relevant evidence of the group’s activities. Anti-Bullying Award - For individuals and groups of young people who have tackled bullying in their communities and schools. Our Diana Anti-Bullying Award is for all those aged 5-18 who qualify.
Evidence required: 1 detailed testimonial from a young person or adult who knows the nominee(s) in a professional capacity plus any relevant evidence of the nominee(s) activities.

Big Society Awards 2011
The Big Society award has been created to recognise individuals, groups or organisations that are demonstrating the Big Society in their work or activities.
The Big Society is about moving power away from central government and giving it to local communities and individuals. It has three main aims:
•Empowering communities – helping and enabling local people to have more of a say in how decisions are made in their area and about the services they receive.
•Changing and opening up public services – encouraging public sector organisations and individuals to demonstrate new and innovative ways of delivering public services and enabling charities, social enterprises, private companies to deliver public services.
•Promoting social action – encouraging people to be more involved in their communities and to volunteer and give money.
Who can make a nomination? - Anyone, including people who benefit from the group, organisation or individuals activities, may make a nomination.
Every nomination must have at least one other independent person that has agreed to second the nomination. This person should not be on the committee of your organisation or be family or close friends.
You can nominate yourself or the organisation you run, work for or are involved with but, if you do, there must always be two independent people that have agreed to second the nomination.
The Awards are an ongoing process – if you miss one nomination deadline there will be another a couple of months later.
All winners will be announced within three months of each deadline – details of winners will be placed, one a week, on the Big Society Awards Site (as detailed below). The deadlines can be found below :-

Big Society Capital
Big Society Capital has launched a £600 million fund to finance grassroots social projects run by charities and community groups. Big Society Capital will support social enterprises that can prove they are able to repay an investment through the income they generate.
The scheme will be financed by £400 million from dormant bank accounts, with the remaining £200 million coming from Britain's four largest high street banks - HSBC, RBS, Barclays and Lloyds. So far, the fund has agreed investments worth £3.6 million in five schemes. These include the Community Generation Fund, which supports the development of renewable energy infrastructure, and Franchising Works, which trains unemployed people to run a franchise business.
Social Investment Finance Intermediaries (SIFIs) based and working within the UK may apply for loans of between £500,000 and £15 million.
To be eligible, applicants must:
Be a Social Investment Finance Intermediaries (SIFIs) providing investment and other support to social sector organisations that primarily benefit people and communities in the UK. Be registered and working within the UK. Have a strong management team and good corporate governance systems. Have a robust business plan and financial model with realistic underlying assumptions. Have a clear social mission with well-developed systems for delivering it and monitoring social impact.
SIFIs should be providing investment and support to social sector organisations in the following broad areas: Ageing. Children and families. Community development. Criminal justice. Disability. Education. Employment. Financial inclusion. Healthy living. Housing and shelter. Market infrastructure. Mental health.
