Has a steel blade with artistic engravings, with 3 distinct sections. Has a steel bound wooden handgrip. Lastly the bottom is covered in brass spots resembling drawings pins. Overall a very elegant emample of afican metalcraft. Shows areas of rust + pitting. Around the late 19th/early 20th Centuries. Grade II- $850

6388 LAOS BAMBOO + BASKET CROSSBOW QUNER. Worn bandolier style. Strap made of rattan with shells attached. Has a long black bamboo pipe for arrow storage and a wickerwork rattan basket to keep the arrow heads. The pipe is 56 cm long and the basket is 38cm. Some cracks at the bottom of the pipe. About early 20th Century item. Very well made tribal item. Grade II- $375

As well as the beard, a lot of it has hardened clay with shells around the edges, starting to come off in serveral areas. Has large shell eyes. Has a carved hole in the top for hanging on hook. Overall a lovely piece of tribal art. Grade II- $250
6395 PNG SEPIK RIVER LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY SPIRITUAL SCULPTURE depicts a woman sitting on a stool. An eagle is present on her head. A lot of ocre has faded over time. Has a grass skirt, ear and nose hair, bracelets and anklets. Both woman and eagle have shell eyes. Large splits are present in the wood. O/w a lovely old carved piece of art. 72cm in height. Grade II- $1200
