Through book donations from the RWI and other human rights institutes, Human Rights Library had been created by AYLU. Law students and academics, practicing lawyers, human rights activists and other interested were able to access and acquaint themselves with human rights literature, international human rights instruments, legal researches, journals and magazines related to human rights. All documentation and publications in the library are registered.
The library is due to be open to the public five days a week (10 am – 6 pm).
The library includes the books, training room and computer hall. For the moment we have 475 books on human rights issues in the library. The majority of books on International Human Rights Law had been donated by the Raoul Wallenberg Institute. However the library had been donated by the various human rights organizations, as well as the Council of Europe, OSCE, UNHCR, Red Cross and Re Crescent Federation and other international agencies. The books published by the Raoul Wallenberg Institute are very popular among English speaking students. Unfortunately, in spite of the great interest of Azeri and Russian speaking students, they can’t use these books.
