Exception Reporting The Bailey Net or Infi90 control system performs exception reporting. This Interface receives these exception values and sends them to the PI Server. Uses PI SDK The PI SDK and the PI API are bundled together and must be installed on each PI Interface node. This Interface does not make PI SDK calls. Source of Timestamps The clock on the computer running the PI Server provides the source of the timestamps for the Infi90 interface. For input points, the Interface writes a timestamp that reflects the time at which it received the exception values from the CIU. For output points, the Interface writes a timestamp that reflects the time of the event that triggered the output. UniInt-based UniInt stands for Universal Interface. UniInt is not a separate product or file it is an OSIsoft-developed template used by developers, and is integrated into many interfaces, including this interface. The purpose of UniInt is to keep a consistent feature set and behavior across as many of OSIsoft’s interfaces as possible. It also allows for the very rapid development of new interfaces. In any UniInt-based interface, the interface uses some of the UniIntsupplied configuration parameters and some interface-specific parameters. UniInt is constantly being upgraded with new options and features. OSIsoft's Bailey Infi90 Interface is not UniInt-based. Failover The user may run two copies of the Infi90 Interface in a failover configuration. One copy is designated as the Primary and the other as the Secondary. The failover mechanism uses a watchdog signal on the Bailey control system to determine when the Secondary interface should assume data collection because of a failure in the Primary. Vendor Hardware Required The interface connects to either the enhanced (CIU02, CIU03, CIU04) or CIU01 versions of the Bailey Net computer interface module. The interface also connects to the serial version of the Infi90 ICI01. Device Point Types The Infi90 interface supports the following Net90/Infi90 point types:
