| CONCLUSION In the final analysis, Bayou Corne Sinkhole is not considered to be a natural disaster on the contrary, it was created from a collapsed salt dome cavern managed by the Texas Brine Company. Along with the problems encountered, local officials managed to help, particularly to the residents who were immediately evacuated from their homes, to secure their safety. They were able to surpass some of the problems with the help of Texas Brine, who was accused and blamed as the primary suspect in the formation of the sinkhole. Also, with the help of the government, they gradually implemented some monitoring tools to constantly monitor the entire vicinity. Considering that they are looking after of the place for the safety of everyone, commonly there are problems that arises, but it is evident that they have somehow overcome it with the help of their efforts. Moreover, Texas Brine, being the company that was blamed for the incident, really showed their sincerity by doing their best in finding innovative devices to help in monitoring. Reflecting on the incident that happened to the Bayou Corne Sinkhole, it was sad to know that a person’s greediness can undoubtedly result in a devastating one and may lead to a long-term problem. Greediness in the term that people continue to do things to whom they thought they could benefit from, but in the long run it results in an incident and puts another person’s life at risk. However, on the positive side they were not neglected by local officials instead they were helped to restart themselves again. Nevertheless, with the assistance of local officials and the government, the monitoring of the vicinity of the Bayou Corne Sinkhole is in control to ensure the safety of the public. RECOMMENDATIONS In order to assure the safety of the public, the local officials with the help of the Texas Brine Company should equip more with new monitoring technology and procedures to limit the possible threats in the years to come. To give justice for the said incident the government should initiate a thorough investigation as to who is really at fault and responsible for the formation of the Bayou Corne Sinkhole. Local officials with the help of the government are ought-to develop along term maintenance and monitoring of the area within the Bayou Corne Sinkhole. In order to prevent any disasters again, a depth study should be conducted to distinguish possible mitigation.
