Some time during 1927, Louis Armstrong recorded fifty cornet solos on cylinders for the Melrose Music Publishing Co., to be transcribed and published in an album. Some years ago, there was a report that one of these, DOCTOR JAZZ, had been discovered, and that the band accompanying sounded very much like the Hot Seven. The whereabouts of this cylinder, if indeed it existed, and the name and address of its supposed owner are not known.
