End of sale
Thank you.
Our last Militaria postal bids sale (#618) set a new high in prices realised for I S Wright Militaria. Thank you very much to all who participated and congratulations to the winning bidders. I take this opportunity to publicly thank all staff involved with I S Wright Militaria not only from our Ballarat office, but Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney shops as well who all contributed to a very successful sale. Militaria collectables are still proving their worth in interest as a financial investment as well as true collector material. Quality items are becoming harder to find ever year. More and more people are getting on the “Militaria band wagon” both old and young. In our last sale high prices were realised for some very nice Pre Federation badges, a Guinea Pig Club badge and several medals including the ADM Pingat Jassa pair and the rare Australian Boer War-WW1/WW11 group of seven. Obviously the star of the show was lot 2426, the Australian Flying Corps MC group of three selling for $33,600 against an estimate of $20,000. Obviously a lot of keen interest in this one, and rightly so. In this issue we feature a good range of rare Rising Sun badges including the first and second pattern badges used by the Commonwealth Horse. Once again, thank you all for your support and good luck with bidding in this sale. Good collecting to all. Ben SMITH,
