4.7 Bus stop signs should be attached to bus shelters above roof level wherever possible.To minimise street clutter and to avoid creating additional hazards for the visually impaired, where there is no shelter, bus stop signs should be attached to existing poles such as street lighting columns, where there is a suitably sited item available.This may not be permitted if other signage exists and if certain utilities do not permit the attachment of bus stop signs to their poles.
