Fulfilled: In AD. 70, the Romans attacked and destroyed Jerusalem.
Prophecy: Malachi 3:1. While the temple is standing.
Fulfilled: John 10:22,23. Jesus was in the temple area. Paul explained that the time had fully come for the Messiah to appear. Galatians 4:4,5. But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, [5] to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. Gods timing is perfect. He foretold when the Messiah would come. The first century was precisely the right time for the Gospel to spread from Israel to the Gentile nations. At that time, there had developed (1) a common language (Greek, (2) an extensive system of roads built by Romans, (3) a system for mailing letters throughout the Roman Empire, and (4) a police force allowing safe passage throughout the Roman Empire. Prior to this time, it would have been difficult for the good news of the Messiah to spread widely. During the later part of the first century, the persecution of Christians caused them to disperse widely, carrying the Gospel with them.
Prophecy: Daniel 9:27. The abomination that causes desolation In the future, there will be a seven-year tribulation period, in which an evil ruler-the beast (Rev. will desecrate the temple. So the temple apparently will be rebuilt prior to the time of the beast.
