Joshua Holt "Josh" Hamilton (born May 21, 1981) is an American professional baseball player who currently plays for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. An outfielder, Hamilton has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) since 2007. A member of the American League's Texas Rangers (2008–2012), he played his rookie season with the Cincinnati Reds (2007). He is a five-time MLB All-Star and won the AL Most Valuable Player Award (MVP) in 2010.He was the first overall pick in the 1999 MLB draft by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. During the 2008 season, Hamilton was named to the AL All-Star team. He also participated in the Home Run Derby, where he hit a record 28 home runs in the opening round and finished with 35 home runs, which was second-most all-time in derby history. He made the All-Star team the next four seasons as well. In 2012, Hamilton received more votes than any other player on the All-Star Game ballot, besting by approximately 3.5 million votes the vote count set in 2011 by Jose Bautista. Hamilton won the AL batting title in 2010. On October 22, 2010, Hamilton was selected as MVP of the 2010 ALCS. On November 23, 2010, Hamilton was named the 2010 AL MVP, earning 22 of 28 first-place votes. On May 8, 2012 Hamilton became the 16th player in MLB history to hit four home runs in a game, all 4 home runs were 2 run home runs, and he set an AL record for total bases in a game with 18.
USA Olympic Women’s Swim Team- Set New World Record in 4x100 Relay
The United States set a world record to win the women's medley relay at the London Olympics in August 2012. The Americans clocked 3 minutes, 52.05 seconds, slicing 0.14 off the previous mark set by China at the 2009 world championships at the height of the high-tech bodysuit era. Missy Franklin swam the leadoff backstroke leg, Rebecca Soni did the breaststroke, Dana Vollmer competed in butterfly and Allison Schmitt had the anchor leg in freestyle.
The 17-year-old Franklin, who starts her senior year in high school this fall, finished the meet with four golds and a bronze, while Schmitt leaves with three golds, a silver and a bronze. Australia touched in 3:54.02 to take the silver medal and Japan finished in 3:55.73 to take bronze.

Adrian Lewis Peterson (born March 21, 1985), is an American football running back for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL).Peterson was selected by the Vikings with the seventh overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. Peterson played college football for the University of Oklahoma, and set the NCAA freshman rushing record with 1,925 yards as a true freshman during the 2004 season. Following his first pro season, in which he set an NFL record for most rushing yards in a single game (296), Peterson was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. He was then awarded the MVP award for his performance in the Pro Bowl and became only the fifth player in NFL history to have more than 3,000 yards through his first two seasons. In 2010, he became the fifth fastest player to run for 5,000 yards, doing so in his 51st game. In 2012, Peterson became the sixth fastest player to reach 8,000 rushing yards, ending the season with 2,097 rushing yards, just nine yards shy of breaking Eric Dickerson's single season all-time record. Peterson amassed 2,314 all-purpose yards from scrimmage in 2012, tying Marcus Allen for the eighth-highest total ever. For his efforts, he received the NFL MVP Award and the AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year Award for the 2012 NFL season.

Mitchie Brusco is just 15 years old and already setting a new standard in Big Air, landing the first 900 in a contest (Brazil, July 2011). Unfortunately, the youngest athlete at XG 2011 wasn't able to land the 900 at his first XG and finished 5th in Big Air. He first landed a run on Bob Burnquist's mega ramp in April 2010, and he went from watching X Games in the stands to being in the spotlight. The prodigy was on The Today Show skating at age 5.

Brett "The Diesel" Keisel (born September 19, 1978 in Provo, Utah) is an American football defensive end for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League. He hails from Greybull, Wyoming. Keisel began growing "Da Beard" while on a summertime hunting trip with his father. Keisel's facial hair gained fame during the end of the 2010 NFL season. Many NFL players grow "rally beards" during the playoffs to bring them good luck, but Keisel's has a significant following. His beard has its own Facebook page and Twitter account and has been mentioned repeatedly in the media during the Steelers' playoff run. In an interview on Steelers.com, he decided to grow out his beard after having a discussion about the lack of characters in the NFL. In another interview, though, to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, he said he wanted to change the team's luck, because it missed the playoffs the previous season. Keisel refers to his beard as a "beautiful thing" and "the greatest beard of all time" and has encouraged other Steelers to grow beards as well

Serena Jameka Williams (born September 26, 1981) is a professional American tennis player. The Women's Tennis Association has ranked her World No. 1 in singles on five separate occasions. Jonny Johnson Gomes (born November 22, 1980 in Petaluma, California) is an American professional baseball outfielder in Major League Baseball. Jonny is famous for sporting his signature Mohawk. Gomes has been known for his charity work in the Tampa Bay area, working with the Boys and Girls Clubs and many local schools. He participated in the Tampa Bay Rays "Shop with a Jock" where children from the Boys and Girls Clubs are invited to have lunch with the players and were each treated to a $100 shopping spree. He is involved with Camp For A Cure, an annual charity baseball camp in Petaluma that has raised over $25,000 to date for cancer and Lupus research. The Fierce Five (also known as the Fab Five) is the artistic gymnastics team that won the second ever-gold medal for the United States in the women's team competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. The five members of the team are Gabby Douglas, McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman, Kyla Ross, and Jordyn Wieber. Later in the Olympic Games, Douglas won a gold medal in the individual all-around event, thereby becoming the first African-American to do so, and Maroney won silver on vault. Raisman, the team captain, won bronze on balance beam and gold in the floor exercise and was the most decorated American gymnast at the 2012 Olympics. Maroney and Wieber were credited for changing the team's nickname from the "Fab Five" to the "Fierce Five". Maroney and Wieber opted for "fierce", as they said it described their floor routines, and the rest of the team concurred. Maroney also stated, "There have been Fab Fives in the past but I like Fierce Five because we are definitely the fiercest team out there."

Melissa Jeanette Franklin (born May 10, 1995) is an American swimmer and four-time Olympic gold medalist. She currently holds the world record in the 200-meter backstroke (short course and long course) and the American record in both the 100-meter and 200-meter backstroke (long course). As a member of the U.S. National Team, she also holds the world record in the 4×100-meter medley relay (short course and long course). In her Olympic debut at the 2012 Summer Olympics at age 17, Franklin won a total of five medals, four of which were gold. She swept the women's backstroke events, winning gold in both the 100-meter and 200-meter backstroke. Franklin's success have earned her Swimming World's World Swimmer of the Year and the American Swimmer of the Year award in 2012 as well as the FINA Swimmer of the Year Award in 2011 and 2012. In total, she has won twelve medals in international competition: seven gold, three silver, and two bronze spanning the 2012 Summer Olympics, the FINA World Championships and the short course FINA World Championships.

Michael "Mike" Nelson Trout (born August 7, 1991)[1] is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of Major League Baseball (MLB). Following an initial stint with the Angels in 2011, Trout had a breakout season in 2012, unanimously winning the American League (AL) Rookie of the Year Award, winning a Silver Slugger Award, and finishing runner-up to Miguel Cabrera in the AL Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award voting. Bradley Aaron "Brad" Keselowski (born February 12, 1984) is an American professional stock car racing driver and team owner. He currently races for Penske Racing in NASCAR, driving the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion in the Sprint Cup Series and the No. 22 Discount Tire Ford Mustang in the Nationwide Series. He is also the owner of Brad Keselowski Racing, which currently fields two full-time teams in the Camping World Truck Series. Keselowski grew up in a racing family from Michigan. He is the son of Bob Keselowski and the nephew of Ron Keselowski. His older brother, Brian, is also a racing driver. Peyton Manning is the quarterback of the Denver Broncos and Eli Manning is the quarterback of the New York Giants. Two brothers together have won 3 Super Bowls and won 3 Super Bowl MVP titles. The Manning brothers Peyton and Eli have played against each other a few times in their professional careers. These encounters have been colloquially named "The Manning Bowl". The first Manning Bowl was held on September 10, 2006 and Peyton's Colts defeated Eli's Giants by a score of 26–21.The second Manning Bowl was held on September 19, 2010 and Peyton and his team bested Eli's team again by a score of 38–14. The next "Manning Bowl" is scheduled to take place in the 2013 season, when Eli's Giants will host Peyton's Broncos.

He was drafted in the second round, 48th overall, by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2007 NBA Draft. He stands 7'1" tall and is the younger brother of current Lakers power forward Pau Gasol.

He is a four-time All-Star, and a three-time All-NBA selection, once on the second team and twice on the third team. He has won two NBA championships, both with the Lakers. He was the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2002 with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Gasol was selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the third overall pick in the first round of the 2001 NBA Draft, but his rights were traded to Memphis. He currently holds the Grizzlies franchise records for field goals made and attempted, free throws made and attempted, offensive, defensive, and total rebounds, blocked shots, turnovers, and points. After seven seasons with the team, Gasol was traded to the Lakers in 2008. His younger brother, Marc, was sent to the Grizzlies in the deal. Gasol has won two Olympic silver medals with the Spanish national basketball team.

The Williams sisters are two professional American tennis players: Venus Williams born 1980, seven-time Grand Slam title winner (singles), and Serena Williams born 1981, fifteen-time Grand Slam title winner (singles), both of whom were coached from an early age by their parents Richard Williams and Oracene Price. There is a noted professional rivalry between them – between the 2001 US Open and the 2009 Wimbledon tournaments, they have met in eight Grand Slam singles finals. José Miguel Cabrera Torres (born April 18, 1983), commonly known as Miguel Cabrera is a Venezuelan professional baseball player. A third baseman and first baseman, he plays in Major League Baseball for the Detroit Tigers. Cabrera is a seven-time All-Star, having been selected to both the National League and American League All-Star Teams. Cabrera is widely regarded to be one of the best pure hitters in baseball, hitting at a high average with power to all fields. In 2012, Cabrera became the first player since Carl Yastrzemski in 1967 to win the Triple Crown. Cabrera led the American League with a .330 batting average, 44 home runs, and 139 RBIs. Cabrera was elected the 2012 AL MVP that season.
