ABOUT THE FILMMAKERS
Anthony Bell’s (Director) animation career began over 20 years ago at Klasky Csupo, a multimedia entertainment production company located in Hollywood California. While there, Bell directed such high profile animated television series that aired on Nickelodeon such as “Duckman” (1994-95, Nickelodeon; 1997-98, USA Network), “Rugrats” (1995-1996, Nickelodeon), “Aah, Real Monsters” (1996-97, Nickelodeon), “Wild Thornberrys” (1998-1999; 2002, Nickelodeon), “Rocket Power” (1999-2000; 2002), “Wacky Adventures of Ronald McDonald” (2000-2001, McDonald’s), “Rugrats Rugrats Kwanzaa Special” (2000-2001, Nickelodeon), and “As Told By Ginger” (2001-2002, Nickelodeon). In 1999-2000, Bell also directed episodes of “The Sissy Duckling Happily Ever After: Fairy Tales For All Children” for Hyperion/HBO.
In 2003, Bell took on the role of Sequence Director for the animated feature film BARNYARD for Omation/Nickelodeon/Paramount. After BARNYWARD, Bell directed the series “Boondocks” for Sony (2005).
Bell won an Emmy in 2003 for Best Animated Series (“Rugrats”), a Humanitas Award in 2000 (“The Sissy Duckling”) and three Emmy® certificates for Artistic Contribution on “The Simpsons” and “Rugrats.”
He is currently in production on his next feature film NORM OF THE NORTH, also due from Lionsgate.

Ben Gluck (Director) fell in love with filmmaking as a young boy growing up in St. Louis, Missouri. As a teenager, Gluck directed his first short film, Kimoc Koob, about a boy who reads a comic book and becomes trapped inside. The film garner much attention for the young Director after it aired on several local television networks.
After high school, Gluck attended the prestigious California Institute of the Arts where he created Man's Best Friend; a satirical spoof on life and love in the Garden of Eden, which won both critical and audience acclaim and went on to win; The Walter Lantz Award, ‘Best Short’ at the New York Independent Film Festival, the Bronze Award at The World Fest Charleston as well as airing on MTV and several other networks.
Gluck’s talent and efforts were quickly noticed by The Walt Disney Company which provided him a full scholarship to complete school and then hired him directly after. At Disney, Gluck worked on Dinosaur and Home on the Range. Gluck was quickly promoted to Supervisor of the script and story departments on Bambi 2, which won the ‘Annie Award.’ Gluck’s work quickly earned him his directorial debut on Disney's Brother Bear 2, his work on this film earned him a nominated for the coveted ‘Annie Award.’
After Brother Bear 2 Gluck took on the complex job of pre-visualizing the script and supervising the story on director Shane Acker’s dark fantasy 9, which was executive produced by Tim Burton. During this time Gluck caught the eye of George Lucas, and earned the opportunity to direct Lucasfilm’s first original animated feature film.
Since Alpha and Omega Gluck has continued working for major studios and has signed on to direct an upcoming animated action/adventure film, as well as being in development on several feature projects of his own.
Christopher Denk (Co-Screenwriter) resides in Los Angeles where he writes comedy, family, and children's television. After graduating from Marquette University, Chris produced Art House, a feature length comedy that was an official selection at the Aspen U.S. Comedy Arts festival. He began writing stories for CGI films at the urging of a friend and his first animated film, The Reef was released by The Weinstein Company in 2006 with much success.
He is currently at work on the animated feature The Outback.
Steve Moore (Co-Screenwriter/Producer) is a writer, syndicated cartoonist and former news executive for the
Los Angeles Times. He was born in Colorado and grew up in La Canada, California. Moore graduated from Oregon State University and completed his master's degree in journalism at the University of Oregon.
While working as sports editor at The Maui News in Hawaii, he got the idea to create the comic panel "In the Bleachers." Soon after, Moore moved to the Los Angeles Times where he worked in sports, news and features. He served as news editor on reporting teams that won Pulitzers for breaking news coverage of the Rodney King riot and the Northridge earthquake. Moore resigned as Times Executive News Editor in order to concentrate on the comic and to work in entertainment.
"In the Bleachers," distributed by Universal Press Syndicate, appears in more than 200 newspapers and websites worldwide.
Alpha and Omega is his second animated feature film. Moore previously created and wrote the original story for Sony Picture Animation's Open Season (2006.) Moore served as executive producer. Based on the humor of his comic, the movie featured the voices of Ashton Kutcher, Martin Lawrence, Gary Sinise and Debra Messing. It grossed nearly $200 million and has generated three DVD sequels with a fourth in development.
Moore has several other movies in development and pre-production. He recently helped develop and wrote the pilot for an animated TV series based on the children's book Flat Stanley. Moore also wrote and produced with Disney TV Animation a series of animated shorts for ESPN based on "In the Bleachers."
Moore's humor was inspired by his father, Bob, and cartoonists B. Kliban, Gary Larson, Charles Addams and Gahan Wilson. He lives in Idaho with his wife, Dru, and three children—Jakob, Lauren and Christopher.
Richard Rich (Producer) is President of Production at Crest Animation Productions in Burbank, California. Here he has directed and produced eight feature length animated films including The Swan Princess, The King and I based on the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, and The Trumpet of the Swan based on the classic book by E. B. White for Columbia Home Entertainment, as well as three animated Direct-to-DVD series: Animated Hero Classics in conjunction with Time-Warner, Stories of the New Testament and Stories of the Old Testament. He has overseen the retooling of the studio from 2D to CGI animation bringing the award winning PBS series “Arthur” into the CGI world in its first feature length movie for Lionsgate. Rick recently produced the The Little Engine that Could for Universal Studios. He is currently producing Norm of the North, the studio’s next CGI 3D animated feature.
Rick is a former employee of the Walt Disney Studios feature animation department where he learned his craft from members of Walt Disney's original team of legendary animators and film makers. During his 14 years there he worked on some of the most memorable Disney animated films, including Winnie, the Pooh, The Rescuers, Pete’s Dragon and co-directed The Fox and the Hound and The Black Cauldron.
Ken Katsumoto (Producer) is Executive Vice President of Lionsgate Family Entertainment and is directly responsible for the creative development and production of Lionsgate’s stereoscopic 3-D animated theatrical films. He joined the company in 2004. As a part of Lionsgate’s initiative to expand into moderately budgeted and high quality theatrical animated films, Lionsgate signed a multi-picture deal with Crest Animation Productions, whom also co-produce and co-finance the slate of pictures. ALPHA AND OMEGA was the first film in this deal. The second film under the Crest partnership,

MAX Madhavan (Executive Producer) the Chief Executive Officer of Crest Animation Studios Limited is credited with opening the doors for Indian Animation in the intensely competitive and demanding CGI products and services global market.
Madhavan joined the organization in the year 1999, when Animation Industry was an unrecognized entity in India and India’s animation competence unacknowledged in the global CGI space.

The fact that he got the first CGI television series to India from the US market, even when the company or the country had nothing to show to the world market is a testimony to his sales & marketing acumen, belief in the creative and technological prowess of his very talented team.
Crest’s first order was procured by him in the year 2002 and from thereon went to continuously create strategic partnerships with multiple producers of repute in the US and European Markets. The strategic alliances built with global CGI producers of repute are today reflected in the brand image of the company.

Her company Crest Animation Studios Limited has over the years delivered more than 300, high quality CGI products (Television Series, Direct to Home Videos) to the World Market and is today the undisputed leader in the Indian Animation Space.
All the shows produced at Crest Animation have been telecasted across the globe and Crest has received numerous awards (Annie Nominations, EMMY® Awards, BAFTA, FICCI Frames to name a few) for its ability to deliver CGI products in line with international standards.
Today her company is the first studio outside of US to have entered into a 3 feature film deal with Lionsgate, thereby making Crest Animation Studios Limited to be the first ever studio to have delivered full length animated feature film from India in the global CGI Space. The deal with Lionsgate is considered as Landmark deal and is a first of its kind for any Indian Studio to have done with Hollywood.
Seemha Ramanna is not only a well known entrepreneur in India; she is also widely recognized in Hollywood as the face of Indian Animation. That she is one of the most successful business women in the field of entertainment, an otherwise Male Bastion; speak volumes about her business acumen, her grit and competence.

Donald Towns (Art Director).
Donald is a graduate of the American Academy of Arts, Chicago, Ill. He began his career as an Architectural Illustrator in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. Upon relocation to Southern California, his career broadened to graphics design and illustration.
Donald’s unique combination of fine arts and architectural subjects became the springboard for his employment at Walt Disney Animation Studios, as a Background Painter. Several feature films later, Donald co-art directed the well-known movie The Little Mermaid. He continued to lend his talent to other major motion pictures, such as Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin. Additional contributions were Color Key works for a variety of studios, including Warner TV, and Fox Animation; involving commercials, videos, television and feature animation.
Donald later went to work for former Disney director Richard Rich. In his position as head of the Background Department, he was able to work on educational and family focused videos. "The Animated Hero Classics" featuring famous historic characters, and “The Animated Stories from Old and New Testament Scriptures” are but a few of the many video series produced. Besides working in the Motion Picture Industry for the past thirty years, he has done freelance artwork for companies and individuals. Living and working in the Tehachapi mountains of Southern California has given Donald a sense of peace, and time to enjoy his relationships with God and his family. His love for the outdoors inspires continual joy in capturing nature, utilizing oils, acrylics, watercolors and digital painting. Each painting reflects the influence of the fine arts and animation film industry. His experience with theatrical lighting, his broad palette of colors, his wide spectrum of unusual subject matter, and the challenge of discovery, all contribute to the unique atmosphere in each of Donald’s paintings.

Bernie Van De Yacht (Casting) – earned his B.A. in psychology and theatre from The University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire and his M.F.A. in acting from California Institute of the Arts. He has been casting animated films for over fifteen years. In addition to Alpha and Omega, he's cast Happily N'ever After II, Trumpet of the Swan, The King and I, Scarecrow and Swan Princess II and Swan Princess III. He is currently working on Norm of the North and Swan Princess IV. Recently he branched out and cast two live-action films The Speak and Five Souls. He was also the writer, director, actor and executive producer of the award-winning short, There's Something About Meryl. One of his scripts, Salvation, is currently in development with Quorum Entertainment, an independent production company.
