WHAT IS A WORKCAMP?
A place of creation for all participants amid an atmosphere of
friendship, participation and collaboration, following rules that
allow the above to be achieved.
A way to learn about and integrate into the environment where the
camp is developed (all of the above through activities,
excursions, etc.).
A way to disconnect from routine, and open up to new experiences.
It involves active and joint participation in social wellbeing
for the community where the camp is developed.
A further purpose is to have fun by taking part in activities
that are not part of one´s routine; this is an alternative to
traditional holidays.
It is a life experience with a group of people. The aim is to
leave individualism behind, experiencing the values that living
in a group offers. Acquisition of social values (tolerance,
solidarity, etc.)
It is a group of participants willing to live together, work
together and enjoy together, adapting to the group.
It is a meeting place for people with different backgrounds, with
an exchange of culture and customs.
It is a place where everything is done as a group.
INTERNAL RULES:
Working free of charge for the planned project hours for five
days a week.
Assisting in the development of entertainment activities
planning, and taking part in these activities.
Contributing to the overall organisation of the camp and the
tasks that the camp involves.
Respecting the different ideological beliefs and personal
differences of all camp participants.
Staying at the camp until it finalises.
Respecting the internal rules and regulations and cohabitation
rules of each camp, which includes:
- Accepting instructions delivered by activity managers
- Compliance with schedules
- Not using private vehicles for the duration of the camp
- Not consuming alcohol and/or illegal drugs
- No outsiders are allowed into the camp
Active participation, voluntary cooperation, helping peers and
bringing values that contribute to strengthening the group.
Non-acceptance of or non-compliance with established rules may
result in immediate expulsion from the camp.

important beds of dinosaur footprints, in terms of easy access
and quality are ´La Cañada´, ´Las Navas´, ´Santa Ana´ and
´La Torre´. The dinosaur ichnites are three-dactyl footprints
and belong to two-footed dinosaurs (Theropod dinosaurs).

LOCATION: Enciso is a small village situated in the south-east
of La Rioja. It´s 73 km. away from Logroño. Paleontologic
Museum. Enciso offers us two churches of the XVth century, the
remains of a castle and the bridges on the river Cidacos, which
supported the step of thousands of sheeps. Near the village, one
finds the area of the ichnites or footprints, which spread over
the whole municipal term, next to some almost uninhabited
localities.

Description of Workcamp:
REGION: Region of Valencia. Province of Alicante.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The archaeological site of the Baños de la
Reina is situated on the coastline, close to the promenade in the
coastal town of Calp, whose most significant symbol, besides its
beaches, is the massive cliff known as Peñón de Ifach. This
coastal site contains the origins of the current town, as this
place was populated from the beginnings of the Christian Era to
the 7th century AD. The remains found in 15 archaeological
campaigns has shown that this site was an important commercial
enclave in antiquity.
Both these remains and the area surrounding the archaeological
site need maintenance and preservation work. The main aims of the
next Calpe campus are the cleaning and tidying up of the site for
its future restoration and valorisation. Your help in this task
can be invaluable, and we wish you an agreeable stay in this
emblematic Mediterranean town.
The work will be carried out in small groups which will shift
place and type of work, so that all participants will be able to
work in all places and share the work to be carried out.
COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES - LEISURE ACTIVITIES:

Evening activities, group dynamics, sports activities, games.
These activities will be coordinated by a team of entertainment
professionals.
It will present a plan of cultural and leisure, to be developed

The Centre has all the necessary facilities, such as kitchen,

PROFILE - COMMITMENT OF PARTICIPANTS:
You must work unselfishly according to the work planning of the
workcamp, five days a week.
You must cooperate to carry out all the entertainment activities
programmed, and participate in the said activities.
You must contribute to the general organization of the camp, in
its regular tasks: cleaning, cooking, administration, etc.
You must respect the different beliefs, ideologies and opinions
of all participants in the workcamp.
You must stay in the Workcamp from beginning to end of the
programme. You must respect the internal regulations of the
workcamp, to wit: accept the indications of those responsible for
the activities, respect the timetables in general, and avoid
using private vehicles while being at the workcamp.
