Zachary Vit
Assistant Coach, Stevenson University
Vit comes to Stevenson after playing professional in the France Division I League during the 2014-15 season playing for the Neuilly-sur-Marne Bisons. Prior to playing professionally, Vit played four seasons for Division Iii Suny Geneseo. While with the Knights, Vit appeared in 109 career games and totaled 126 career points on 50 goals and 76 assists.
As a senior, he was named the SUNYAC Men’s Ice Hockey Player of the Year and CCM Division II-III Men’s Ice Hockey First Team All-American after recording a career-high 18 goals. During that season, Vit also helped lead the Knights to the program’s first Frozen Four appearance. A second-team All-SUNYAC pick as a junior and a third-team selection as a sophomore, Vit, the 2011 SUNYAC Rookie of the Year, became the Knights’ firs three-time SUNYAC All-Star since 1999.

Mike Walley
Executive Director, ACHA
A 30-year veteran of the United States Navy, Walley has served the United States in a number of roles throughout his military career. Rising to the rank of Rear Admiral, Walley served as the commanding officer of several Helicopter Squadrons and USS IWO JIMA (LHD 7) through combat, humanitarian, disaster relief and diplomatic deployments.
Walley’s military career saw him serve as Chief of Staff to the Secretary of the Navy and Operations and Plans Director, among other posts. He is the recipient of the Navy’s highest peacetime honor; the Distinguished Service Medal for service accomplishments while assigned as the Military Chief of Staff to the Secretary of the Navy.
For the past three years, Walley has served as the Commissioner of the ACC Collegiate Hockey Conference, building the league from six to thirteen teams in just under two years. Walley’s efforts with the ACCHL led to a drastic increase in the league’s budget without an increase in membership dues.
His success with the ACCHL came thanks to a dedicated approach to marketing efforts and sponsorship acquisition. Additionally, the ACCHL contributed annually to Veteran’s charities through the success of the conference’s off-ice efforts.
Walley’s duties will include oversight of all five of the ACHA’s divisions and the 450-plus member teams. He will take over the Executive Director role immediately in anticipation of the 2015-16 ACHA season.

Andy Gojdycz
NECHL Commissioner, ACHA Division I
A native of Old Bridge, NJ, Coach Gojdycz comes from a line of hockey tradition. He attended Christian Brothers Academy (CBA) in Lincroft, NJ where he helped captain the Colts to New Jersey state record of three consecutive State Championships, three consecutive Gordon Cup Championships and three consecutive NJ Star-Ledger trophies.
His career at Rutgers was no less impressive. He captained the Ice Knights for four seasons, earning American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) All-American status in 1998, the first season Rutgers competed at the Division 1 Level. The Eastern Collegiate Hockey Association (ECHA) nominated Coach Gojdycz three consecutive years onto the ECHA All-Star Team. He also holds the Matt Couzins Award for All-Time Leading Scorer among Defensemen (167). After a brief stint in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) with the 2003 Kelly Cup Champion A.C. Boardwalk Bullies, Coach G hung up his blades to coach on a full-time basis. He is entering his 22nd season coaching a variety of hockey teams.
His collegiate coaching career began in 2002 with his Alma Mater, Rutgers University. He was the Head Coach / GM until 2015. In 2006, he was recognized as the Rutgers University Club Sports “Coach of the Year” following his team’s efforts in 2006-2007. In 2007-08 Coach G was selected as the NECHL “Coach of the Year” after guiding the men’s team to a 20-8-2 record, its best in ten years at the Banks. In addition, the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) recognized him as a Division 1 “Coach of the Year” Finalist for his efforts. In 12 seasons at Rutgers, Coach G complied over 120 wins, 5 straight regular season championships, coached 36 Academic All-Americans & 44 All-Stars, and went to 4 straight National Tournaments. In 2008-09, Coach G was selected as the Courier-Post and Central Jersey Star-Ledger Newspaper High School Hockey “Coach of the Year”, following Hunterdon Central’s Kelly Cup Championship and 19-5-1 record, his first year back to the program after its inaugural year in 2004-05.
In 2008 & 2010, Coach G was also recognized by the ACHA and USA Hockey as being selected as part of the World University Games player selection committee for the tournaments held in Harbin, China & Erzurum, Turkey. Finally, Coach G is the Founder of Achieve Performance Hockey Systems, a company designed to train & consult youth hockey players. AP Hockey Systems spring teams (AP Selects) compete at a national level at the U16/18/Junior AAA levels.
Off the ice, Coach G participates as an instructor and direct liaison for Rutgers University to the Atlantic District of USA Hockey (CEP) Coaches’ Education Program. In May 2012, after being involved in the program for 10 years, Coach G was named an Associate Coach in Chief for the Atlantic District and also its “Coach of the Year” recipient. Coach G holds a Masters Level Coaching Certification (Level 5) for USA Hockey.
Currently, he is the Hockey Director for the New Jersey Devils Practice Facility at the Barnabas Health Hockey House in Newark-NJ, Commissioner to the Northeast Collegiate Hockey League (NECHL) at the ACHA D-1 level and the President of the GNCHC at the ACHA D-2 level.

Bryan Benenati
Head Coach, American University (AU) Lady Eagles
Bryan Benenati has been playing, coaching and commissioning non-varsity college hockey for the past 19 years. He's been at the helm of the American University Lady Eagles team since its founding in 2000. The team has a reputation for encouraging students to study abroad, take great internships in DC (including with the Caps) and are a family on campus. AU won the Spikes Cup in 2007, marching in the Cherry Blossom Parade as Washington's first, women's hockey champs. Coach Jill Carrie, an advanced skater / player / coach from British Columbia, joins him on the bench at AU. Together Bryan and Jill run the DVCHC Women's College Hockey Conference (a division of 14, mid-Atlantic universities) and have been tasked with founding / leading the ACHA's first national women's D3, this coming season.
Monique Burgers
Assistant Coach, Towson University
The Towson University Women's Ice Hockey team was established in the spring of 2013. We had our first competitive season in the Division 1 level of the Delaware Valley Collegiate Hockey Conference in the 2013-2014 season. After much recruiting throughout the fall of 2013, the team went on to compete in the DVCHC playoffs with a 7-4 record and undefeated in the spring semester. The team went on to win the D1 championship in its inaugural year. Towson has continued to be a competitive team in the DVCHC and has only lost one game since winning the D1 championship in 2013-2014. The team currently has won three straight DVCHC championships after winning in an undefeated season in 2014-2015 and one loss in its 2015-2016 season. We hope to continue to be a competitive team in the DVCHC, as well as, moving into the ACHA in the upcoming season. The team is coached by Bill Wood and assisted by Monique Burgers and Alexander Babington.
Emily Paquin
Head Coach, University of Maryland Lady Terps
Emily Paquin is a former D2 Ice Hockey player for Saint Michael’s College in Burlington, VT. During her college hockey career, Paquin played in 100 games, acted as team captain her senior season and is on the all-time leaders list for points, goals and assists as a defenseman. Paquin is a Maryland native who grew up playing for the Bowie Bruins, Montgomery Blue Devils and eventually the Washington Pride. Paquin was a three sport varsity athlete at St. John's College High School and was also named captain for their varsity men's hockey team.
Paquin spent the last 5 years coaching the University of Maryland’s Women’s Club Ice Hockey Team. During her tenure with the Terps she has led them to a Division Title and multiple championship games. Paquin received the University of Maryland’s Club Coach of the year in 2013. During Paquin’s time with the Terps, they have been one of the only teams in the DVCHC who has remained at the D1 level. Paquin looks forward to a very successful 2016-2017 season with her 2 top lines returning to play. She looks forward to helping the DVCHC further grow the number of teams within its women’s program. Paquin is currently a member of the Washington Capitals in-game Ice Crew.

Tom McKinnon
Head Coach, Mercyhurst University (Division I)
Thomas McKinnon is entering his 12th year as general manager and head coach of the Mercyhurst University ACHA D1 hockey program. His teams have averaged 20 wins a season accumulating an overall record of 217-146-30, which includes 1 ECHL and 1 CHMA league championship. During his tenure, McKinnon has produced 3 ACHA All-Americans, 1 ACHA All-Rookie, 8 ACHA All-Stars and numerous Academic All-Americans. McKinnon is a candidate for his Level 5 coaching certification through USA Hockey and his Development 1 and High Performance 1 certification through Hockey Canada. A graduate of Mercyhurst University with a Master of Science in Leadership Studies, McKinnon played his junior hockey with the Barrie Colts Organization and professionally for the Flint Generals of the UHL. Coach McKinnon has close to twenty years’ experience in hockey camp instruction and private goaltending consultation. McKinnon has also worked with various teams as a mental training consultant...mentoring, guiding and empowering student athletes to reach their full potential in athletics, academics and life.
Chris L. Mikolajczyk
Assistant Director of Scouting, Rutgers University (Division I)
After graduation from Paul Smith's junior college hockey program in 1990, Mr. Mikolajczyk began his coaching career at Bridgewater Sports Arena. "Coach Miko" as he is known, served as commissioner to the squirt/peewee house leagues as well as coaching teams in those systems. Coach Miko then moved on to coach high school hockey at Governor Livingston H.S., serving as the assistant coach in 1999-2000 and the head coach from 2000-2002. In the summer of 2002, Coach Miko was named as an assistant coach to the Randolph H.S. varsity hockey program that went on to win the 2002-2003 NJSIAA public school championship, as well as coaching two JV teams with the school. In the summer of 2004, he was named assistant coach at the newly formed Hunterdon Central H.S. program, followed by being named the Head Coach the following year. Coach Miko remained the Head Coach until resigning from the position in 2008 to focus on his son's first year mite team with the NJ Renegades travel organization. In the fall of 2009, Hillsborough H.S. was able to pull Coach Miko back into the varsity coaching ranks, serving as an assistant coach for the varsity program where he brought them to the NJSIAA Public A tournament quarterfinals two seasons in a row. In addition, Coach Miko served as a recruiting liaison for two junior college programs in NY and NJ, Paul Smiths College (his alma mater), as well as The County College of Morris. In the spring of 2011, Coach Miko joined the staff of The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), an ACHA Division 2 school, as the director of hockey operations, where he assisted with scouting, recruiting and all off-ice administrative duties. TCNJ won two GNCHC league championships during Coach Miko’s tenure. Additionally, the GNCHC tabbed Coach Miko to assemble the 2013-14 All-Star Team which went 4-1 in the ACHA All-Star Tournament Showcase. Finally, in the spring of 2015, the Rutgers University Scarlet Knights, Coach Miko’s alma mater and the only ACHA Division 1 team in the State of New Jersey, tabbed Coach Miko as the Assistant Director of Scouting to assist with their rebuild after a 4-win season the year prior. After being picked in pre-season polls to be ranked no higher than #45 nationally, the Scarlet Knights finished the 2015-16 season at 0.500 and ranked #20 in the country. As the re-build continues, Coach Miko’s network list of recruits’ spans four countries over two continents.
Mike Fox
Head Coach, United States Naval Academy (Division I)
Mike Fox played collegiate hockey in Athens, Ohio at Ohio University where he was a four year letterman for the Division I program and earned an invitation to the Minnesota Fighting Saints WHA team. Coach Fox played three years for the Saint Cloud Saints before beginning his coaching career at the Pee-Wee level in Edina. Subsequently, he coached Midget, Squirt and Junior all-star and select teams in Chicago and Fort Worth, and has also taught several hockey camps and power skating. Coach Fox and his wife Lisa established the Navy Youth Hockey Association. Fox was the Assistant Coach for six years before he made his debut as head coach in the 08-09 season. He specializes in offensive strategies and tactics which have guided the team through a continuum of winning seasons.
Stu Rulnick
Head Coach, University of Pittsburgh (Division I)
My name is Stu Rulnick and I am the Head Coach for the men’s ACHA Division 1 ice hockey team at the University of Pittsburgh. I started at Pitt in 2011 after previously serving as the Head Coach at Plum High School for ten years. While coaching at Plum, we won the division four times and I was selected as the Head Coach for the All-Star Team eight times. I was selected as Head Coach for Team Pittsburgh at America’s Hockey Showcase in 2010 and 2011. I was selected as a coach for the ACHA Division 1 All-Star Game in 2012. I have been coaching at all levels for over 25 years, including stints as an assistant coach at Duquesne University and the Amateur Pens Junior B team.
In 5 seasons at the University of Pittsburgh, we have had four winning seasons. There have been three straight winning seasons which includes this year with Pitt’s first ever CHMA Playoff Championship. We have compiled an overall record of 86-67-10 in the past five years. I was voted as the CHMA Coach of the Year after the 2013-2014 season and again for the second time with this 2015-2016 season.
I am the Vice President of Land Development at The Meritage Group, a land development company, where I have been employed for the past 30 years.
Jon Moynihan
Head Coach, George Washington University (Division II)
Coach Moynihan began coaching after he graduated from GW in 2010 with a degree in Business. He acquired the duties of head coach in time for the 2012-2013 season where he led the team to its first winning season at the D2 level. In 2015-2016, he led the team to its first ACCHL Championship and first appearance in the ACHA D2 Regionals. As a player, he served as captain and president during his junior and senior years and was on the CCHC and BRHC championship teams. As president during his senior year, Coach Moynihan helped facilitate the move to the ACCHL. Before playing at GW he played 3 years of varsity at Buckingham, Browne, and Nichols School - captaining the team his senior year - and varsity at Catholic Memorial and youth hockey in the New England College Development League before that.
Alex Parker
Head Coach, James Madison University (Division II)
After a playing career as a goaltender that included back-to-back Blue Ridge Hockey Conference Championships, Alex Parker became the Head Coach of the JMU Dukes ice hockey program in the 2014-1015 season. In his second season as Head Coach, he served a significant role with transitioning JMU in their inaugural season to ACHA Division II's Atlantic Coast Collegiate Hockey League (ACCHL). Previously, Alex has served as a Camp Director and Head Goalie Instructor for the Sport International Hockey Academy. Alex plans on completing his Master's Degree in Social Studies Secondary Education at James Madison University this spring. Alex looks forward to passing down a coaching philosophy that includes a balance of commitment, hard work, and fun for his student-athletes.
Andrew Ducko
Head Coach, The College of New Jersey (Division II)
Andrew Ducko just completed his first season as Head Coach at The College of New Jersey in 2015-16 by leading the Lions to a 19-6-1-1 record and a Colonial States Collegiate Hockey Conference (CSCHC) regular season championship. TCNJ came within a goal of going to the ACHA D-II Southeast Regional Tournament by virtue of an OT loss to Princeton in the CSCHC Playoff Finals. TCNJ was also consistently ranked in the ACHA’s Southeast Region in 2015-16 at either #17 or #18, the toughest region in D-II. This impressive season in 2015-16 comes off the heels of a 2014-15 season where the Lions went 9-18-2, finished in 4th place in the CSCHC, and exited the CSCHC playoffs in the semi-finals.
Ducko is the Rink Manager at Loucks Ice Center at The Lawrenceville School, TCNJ's home rink. Ducko has also been the Head Coach of Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville, NJ the past six seasons and continues in that post. Over those six seasons for the Fighting Irish, Ducko's teams have a combined record of 110-38-9, winning the Colonial Valley Conference (CVC) four straight years (2011-12 through 2014-15), two Mercer County Championships (2012 and 2013), three Mercer County Championship Runners-up (2011, 2013, 2014, and 2016), Egan Cup Champions (2015), while qualifying for the NJSIAA Non-Public State Playoffs each season. Ducko was also the 2011 Trenton Times "Coach of the Year" and the 2012 New Jersey Power Rankings State "Coach of the Year."
Ducko serves as the Master Scheduler for the Lawrence Flames and has coached at various levels for the organization including Midget 18AA. Prior to working at The Lawrenceville School, Coach Ducko spent three years at Grundy Ice Arena in Bristol, PA serving as Hockey Director, and coaching the Grundy Senators Midget 18AA, was Grundy Grizzlies Director, coached Neshaminy Middle School, and was Head Coach of Abington High School during the 2009-10 season. Prior to his stint at Grundy Coach Ducko spent the 2007-08 season as the Head Coach of Lawrence Academy JV (Groton, MA), Pro Ambitions Bantam Major AAA (Nashua, NH), as an Instructor for Pro Ambitions (Nashua, NH), and the Assistant/ Skills Coach for Bishop Guertin Girls Varsity.
Jeff Pelus
Head Coach, University of Maryland Baltimore County (Division II)
Jeff Pelus is entering his third season as the head coach at UMBC and previously served as the associate head coach for three seasons. In the past five seasons with Coach Pelus, UMBC qualified for the National Championship tournament three times and played in the Frozen Four in 2014, losing to the eventual National Champions.
Before coming to UMBC, Coach Pelus played collegiately for Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and then coached the program for two seasons. Coach Pelus led Temple University to their first and only appearance at the National Championship tournament in 2011.
In 2006, Pelus earned his undergraduate degree in business and in 2010 earned his M.B.A. in Corporate Finance, both from Temple University. He is happily married to his wife, Jennifer; they have one son, Carter, and the family dog, Chase, a rescue Pitbull from PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society).
Zachary Torres
Head Coach, American University (Division III)
Zachary Torres is a senior in the Kogod School of Business at American University. Zachary is from Hinsdale, Illinois and he serves as the team’s Vice President and Treasurer where he has spent the last two seasons. Torres is representing American for the first time at the Capitals College Hockey Fair and looks forward to the opportunity to help the program grow. He is excited to meet the young players and hope to help provide as much information as possible about the American University Men’s Club Ice Hockey team.
Nick Williamson
Head Coach, Catholic University (Division III)
Nick Williamson recently completed his fourth season as head coach at Catholic University in 2015-16. Williamson was named head coach of the Catholic University men's hockey team on April 16, 2012.
During the 2014-15 campaign, Williamson led the Cardinals to their first ever Blue Ridge Hockey Conference (BRHC) Championship with a win over the University of Maryland. Williamson also guided the Cardinals to a championship win at the 3rd Annual East Coast Collegiate Hockey Showdown hosted each year in Aston, PA. Williamson and the Cardinals ended their championship season with a record of 18-4-0-2.
Since taking over at Catholic, Williamson has led the Cardinals to the BRHC playoffs in each of his four seasons, advancing to the semi-finals during the 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2015-16 seasons. While at Catholic, Williamson has also had several players named to the All-BRHC Team, as well as to the BRHC All-Star Team. Last season, Williamson himself was a finalist for BRHC Coach of the Year honors.
Before joining the collegiate ranks, Williamson spent one season (2011-12) as head coach for the Prince William Panthers U18 Midgets. Prior to his stint at Prince William, Williamson was an assistant coach for the Pinckney, MI Varsity High School hockey team. While at Pinckney, Williamson helped lead the Pirates to their first ever winning season in 2007-08. Williamson began his coaching career in while he was a senior in high school where he was as assistant coach for the Wyandotte, MI Mite travel program.
Williamson is a USA Hockey Level 5 certified coach through USA Hockey’s Coaching Education Program.
Coach Williamson is a native of Wyandotte, MI. He and his wife Jeanette currently reside in Alexandria, VA with their two children, Addison and Owen.
