PERSONAL PROFILE I have a total of 26 years experience on ERP systems, the last 16 of which being with JDE World software. Having started my career working for JD Edwards employed as a consultant I gained vital experience in all of the core modules, Distribution, Financials and Manufacturing, including file maintenance, UDC and security setup. I have in depth knowledge of file structures and the internal workings of the software and can use AS400 Query and WorldWriters to create extremely detailed reports either to paper or exported to Excel often negating the need for expensive programming. Although I cannot program I am able to undertake simple “debugging” of programs. I am an all round business and support analyst having spent many years in both types of role. I am able to work alone or can manage a team often meeting extreme timescales and budgets and can provide appropriate reports as required. More recently I was involved in a project migrating from JDE World to JDE One World. I am a very “hands on” person, I enjoy problem solving and am not adverse to an extended day when required, the bigger the problem the harder I work as I get a great deal of satisfaction from a “job well done”. I have worked in many countries on 3 continents and am very sensitive to different cultures, I pride myself in being able to appreciate other people and their ways

  • Data cleansing; Test the database and report on data quality, with the use of AS400 query and WorldWriters

  • Audit AP, AR and General ledger for inconsistencies of data

  • There were no standards for item numbering, bar coding and address book. The same items were stocked across environments and as a consequence these items had different part numbers

  • Reckitt Benkiser (Moscow) December 2004 – December 2007

Reckitt wanted to re-open a manufacturing plant and Sales office in Russia. The office functions supported the full Russian financial operations and a Sales Force of 30 and associated support staff. I was employed to apply the ‘Global Model and any Russian localization. My roles involved the following.

  • Initial responsibility was to financial director as the finance department lacked correct business processes, and was totally lacking in financial knowledge. All areas of GL AR and AP needed attention. It was my job to review all process and along with the user develop correct accounting procedures and processes. Once these had been established it was my job to implement them and train the users. The end result was a brand new efficient implementation. Once this had been completed the integration of the main manufacturing plant was started. It was decided that the original company would be split into 2 so that the manufacturing company was a separate entity. I was very much involved in this process both as an advisor on processes and temporary setup of system for one off transactions.. Due to the very strict financial laws in Russia all transactions had to be fully auditable at all times.

  • Support of all of the new financial processes new and old .

  • Most recently moved the business practices of a newly procured company from SAP and a local ERP system to JDE. This was completed in 2 months. Although initially the requirements of the new company appeared to be different to the current practices, I was able to incorporate them seamlessly into the current business. This was achieved with many extended days and working weekends, the effort was paid back ten fold on day 1 when everything worked well

  • Once the 'Model System' had be installed by the 'implementation group' it was our/my responsibility to advise on the use of additional functionality. This would involve running 'Conference Room Pilots', (CRP) and analysis workshops and often user training in order to implement the extra systems.

  • The software had a lot of new functionality both as modifications to existing programs and new, this needed learning and often implementing retrospectively into locations that had already gone live.

  • Provide analysis of complex problems for all locations, the cause of these problems would range from data integrity to user error and program bugs. This would often require some re-engineering of the original implementation.

  • The job was not done from 'behind a desk. And often required time spent on site.
