1 That's what I'm thinking now. An Associate's Degree is 2 not enough money. You might as well work at McDonald's. 3 My cousin works at McDonald's. She gets $10 an hour. 4 I'm like, Are you serious? She lives up north, but 5 still." 6 "Let me play devil's advocate with you. 7 You went for a two years associate degree or whatever, 8 and it's only set you back. It's like you're doubling 9 down, isn't it? I'm just playing with this idea." 10 That's the moderator. "Yeah, yeah. I'm going to owe -- 11 that's the other thing, I'm going to owe even more 12 money, right, so I don't know. I don't know. But the 13 promise is there still in your mind, right. I'm not 14 trying to depress you. I mean, even at the end of the 15 day, the way I soothe my brain is, once I do get this 16 bachelor's, I'm going to work on -- I'm going to have a 17 high rate of pay and some way, somehow, they're going to 18 have to work with whatever I'm making to make these 19 little payments, even if it's going to take me the rest 20 of my life to pay it off, because that's how I look at 21 it now.
