William Gray was born October 1, 1839 at Dwart, Pennsylvania, was the son of Henry W. Gray ("Henry Gray") and Ester W. McKean ("Ester McKean"), and died August 31, 1917 in Coburn, Pennsylvania at the age of 77. Both Sarah Cavender and her first husband Enoch Cowling are buried in the Palo Alto Cemetery in Jasper County, Iowa. Eli Henninger was born about 1846, and died on May 6, 1929 in McElhatten, Clinton, County, Pennsylvania, and is buried in Pennsylvania. The children of Enoch Cowling and Sarah Cavender Cowling ("Sarah Cowling") were:

James B. Cavender ("James Benjamin Cavender"?, “J.B. Cavender” & "James Cavender") born January 23, 1856 in Greene County, Ohio, married Myra A. Wagner ("Myra Wagner") in Jackson County, Iowa on May 26, 1882 with Rev. Ira O. Kemble (“Ira Kemble”) performing the ceremony, were later divorced, died June 4, 1920 in Newton, Jasper County, Iowa at the age of 64 years, 4 months and 8 days, and is buried in the Palo Alto Cemetery in Jasper County, Iowa. Myra Cavender was born in July 1863 in Jackson County, Iowa, was the daughter of Thomas Wagner and Sarah A. King ("Sarah King") and she remarried a Kalson following her divorce, and died on June 4, 1920 in Newton, Jasper County, Iowa. James Cavender and Myra Cavender had 2 children:

Hattie Romberger was born on February 2, 1883 in Pennsylvania to Samuel Aaron Romberger (“Samuel Romberger”) and Laura Kuppenhaver, died on February 7, 1975 in Abilene, Kansas, and is buried with her husband. Elmer Cavender and Hattie Cavender (“Malinda Cavender”) had 4 children:

Kenneth Eldon Cavender (“Kenneth Cavender”, “Kenneth E. Cavender” & “K.E. Cavender”) born about 1910 in Abilene, Kansas, and married Lucile Ketterman (“Lucille Ketterman”?). Kenneth Cavender and Lucile Cavender (“Lucille Cavender”?) had 4 children:

Karen Buhler who married a Dunlap and lives in Abilene, Kansas; and,

Beth Buhler who married a VanOvershelde and is deceased;

Ward Elmer Cavender (“Ward Cavender” & “W.A. Cavender”) born on July 18, 1916, married a Thurber (“Thuber”?) who was the daughter of Carl Thurber (“Carl Thuber”?) and Louise Christine Nelson (“Louise Nelson”), died on March 16, 2000, and is buried in the Abilene City Cemetery in Abilene, Kansas. Elmer Cavender had a son named:

Mark Cavender; and,

Dale Delbert Cavender (“Dale Cavender” & “D.D. Cavender”) married a Jeanne, and is presently living in Colorado. Dale Cavender and Jeanne Cavender had 3 children:

Claudia Cavender living in Colorado;

John P. Cavender ("John Cavender & “J.P. Cavender”) born in September 1889 in Iowa and lived in Miami, Florida; and,

Sarah Margaret Cavender ("Sarah M. Cavender", “Maggie Cavender” “S.M. Cavender” & "Sarah Cavender") was born April 23, 1861 in Morgan County, Illinois, married her second cousin, Harrison H. Cavender ("Harrison Cavender"), on February 19, 1880 in Palo Alto Township in Jasper County, Iowa, died September 4, 1902 in Woodland, Decatur County, Iowa at the age of 41 years, 4 months and 12 days, and is buried in the Leon Cemetery in Leon, Decauter County, Iowa with her husband. Their common grandfather was Robert Cavender. Harrison Cavender was born October 22, 1849 in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana to Robert Cavender and a Rebecca, and died March 22, 1934 in Decauter County, Iowa at the age of 84 years. In 1850, Robert Cavender and Rebecca Cavender were living in Allen County, Indiana and their children at that time were Ezra Cavender age 13, Morris Cavender age 11, Alvira Cavender ("Alvina Cavender") age 8, Melvina Cavender ("Malvina Cavender") age 8, Clarrisa Cavender age 4 and Harrison Cavender, Jr. age 1. Cavender listed in the 1860 census for Virginia Township in Cass County, Illinois who enlisted as a 2nd. lieutenant in the 34th.. Illinois Infantry, Company G, on October 10, 1861 at Jacksonville at the age of 39 years and who, at that time, was living in Arcadia, Morgan County, Illinois;

Bathsheba Cavender ("Batsheba Cavender", “Barsheba Cavender” & “Basheba Cavender”?) born October 19, 1823 in Greene County, Ohio, and married Jessie Smith (“Jesse Stith”, “Jesse Smith”, "Jeffry Smith"? & “Jeffrey Smith”?) in Greene County, Ohio on January 1, 1840. Jesse Smith was born in 1823 in Ohio.314 Their children were:

Rebecca Servis was born December 27, 1827, was the daughter of William Servey, and died January 21, 1905 at the age of 78. Joseph Cavender was a horse dealer in Sugar Township in 1860; was a partner in Alexander & Cavender from 1864 to 1865; ran a livery stable near the Journal Newspaper in Dayton, Montgomery County Ohio from 1866 to 1867; ran a livery stable in the alley between second and third streets and Main and Ludlow streets from 1868 to 1872; ran a livery stable in the alley at the rear of 25 North Main Street in Dayton, Ohio from 1873 to 1874; was a farmer from 1877 to 1878; owned a business from 1879 to 1882 with his son and which was called Joseph Cavender & Son; and, ran a livery, sale and feed stables in the alley at the rear of the Journal Newspaper office on 25 North Main Street in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.

(NOTE: In the Sunday edition of the Dayton, Ohio newspaper called the “Dayton Daily News” dated July 18, 1999, there is shown a reproduction of a photograph of the “old stone courthouse” of Dayton, Ohio which was stated “as it looked in the year 1864". In the background of the photograph, to the North of the Dayton Court House, appears a white two story building apparently located near second and third streets and Main and Ludlow streets which has a block lettered sign mounted on the front of the building which reads: “J. CAVENDER & SON”. Therefore, there appears to be a conflict with the dates recited above.).

John Meyer was born October 20, 1841 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio, died October 7, 1910 at the age of 69. The children of John Meyer and Sarah Meyer were:
