Chef Ken Frank Takes Guests in the Napa Restaurant on a Culinary Adventure


Napa, Calif. (March 07, 2010) – Chef Ken Frank is once again paying tribute to a country known for its spectacular gastronomic creations during the March Regional Dinners at BANK Café and Bar inside The Westin Verasa, Napa. The three-course dinners create a unique dining experience at one of the most highly acclaimed Napa restaurants. During the dinners, served from 5 to 11 p.m. on Sunday - Thursday, and 5 to midnight on Friday and Saturday, guests can enjoy delicious and diverse specialties of various regions in France. For only $34 per person, the dinners are an affordable way to enjoy a night out on the town at an acclaimed Napa restaurant. March's Regional Dinners will feature the following regions and menus:


  • March 7 - 13, diners will embark on a culinary journey to Auvergne in south central France, an area known for extinct volcanoes, rich history and its cheeses and Charcuterie. The menu features Lentil Soup with Artisan Ham and Lardons, Daube of Beef with Laguiole Potatoes, and Crème Brulée.




  • March 14 - 20, the Regional Dinners return to Burgundy, a region of France renowned for its fine wines produced in the valleys and slopes west of the Saône River. To honor the culinary delicacies of this region, Ken Frank and his staff will prepare Escargots Bourguignonne, Coq au Vin, Nouilles Fraiches, and Profiteroles.




  • March 21 - 27, diners will taste selections from Normandy, which hugs the English Channel in Northern France and has a rich history played out by everyone from the Vikings to the Romans to troops seeking to defeat Nazi Germany during World War II. This week's three-course meal features Lobster Bisque, Braised Veal Cheeks, and Crepes au Fruits.




  • March 28 - April 3, Aquitaine in the Southwest of France along the Atlantic Ocean and the Pyrenees Mountains on the border with Spain is the celebrated region of the week. Centuries ago, Aquitaine belonged to the English until the end of the Hundred Years' War in 1453, when France annexed it. Regional dinner guests will feast upon Asparagus Salad, Confit de Canard, and Tarte au Rhubarbe.
