EDUCATIONAL AIM
The course proposes the discussion of the problems related to the definition and measurement of the inequity and poverty and their implications on the human and economic development policies. The course is divided and two parts, one focuses on the analysis of the inequity and the other focuses on aspects of the poverty, related between them and with laboratory activities and groupwork on empirical application and statistical data.The first part of the course presents principal normative and positive theories of inequity, the relation with poverty; main tools of measurement. The second part faces aspect related to concepts and measurements of poverty.Will be analysed cases from industrialized countries and developing countries.

The reading and interpretation of Financial Statements as the first step of the financial analysis.
Improve the understandability of accounting information by using the contents of the explanatory notes.
Define the main formats of the Balance Sheet.
Define the main formats of the Income statement.
Identify, calculate and appreciate the Profitability Ratios.
Identify, calculate and appreciate the Liquidity Ratios.
Identify, calculate and appreciate the Solvency Ratios.

EDUCATIONAL AIM
|
The aim of the course is the analysis of the main features of the business combinations and other extraordinary events in corporate life, in a view of giving professional advice and assistance by an independent adviser or an internal financial officer. This kind of advice needs the knowledge of the relevant rules of business and taxation legislations also in order to agree a correct consideration between the contracting parties. The aim of the course is also to develop student’s ability to analyse and interpret financial statements for the purpose of assessing financial performance of firms, by applying appropriate financial tools.
