BIOL 313 Cell Bio Spring 2017
Time Description and Justification: This is a four credit course, with each credit representing the equivalent of three hours of work per week (the faculty based standard at Guilford).  Therefore, the total workload for this course depends on an average of 12 hours of work per week.  Considering that a total of 5.3 hours of the course are spent in class and lab, the remaining 7.7 hours are reflected in the required assignments, activities and readings to be completed outside of the scheduled class periods.  If you struggle with science you will likely need to spend more time each week to master the material. To this end, I strongly advise you to establish a study routine of over one hour rigorous studying per day at the beginning of the semester, allotting the required additional study time outside of class for each of your classes.
