His research concerns democratic theory, government failure, civic virtue, and government legitimacy. Anthony Downs Anthony Downs is an economist specializing in public policy and public administration. Since 1977 he is a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution in Washington DC. Bart Engelen Bart Engelen is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Economics and Ethics. Alvin Goldman Alvin Ira Goldman is an American professor of Philosophy at Rutgers University in New Jersey. He previously taught at the University of Michigan and at the University of Arizona Nathan Hanna Nathan Hanna is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Drexel University.
