A Note From your Secretary…….. Martha Klinikowski ………… (904) 221-7691

I have received several checks from Shipmates for their annual dues made out to Branch 126. PLEASE make your membership renewal checks out to the FRA.

You can still send your dues to the Branch Secretary and I will forward them to FRA membership. However, if you make the check out to the Branch, it delays processing as the check must be deposited into the Branch account and then a Branch check written to FRA for the dues.

Military Sea Pay Update 01 ► New Pay Starts 1 MAY The first sea pay raise in over a decade will kick in for sailors and Marines with three or more years of sea time. They will get a 25 percent sea pay raise starting in May as part of the Navy’s effort to make sure sailors are rewarded for sea duty. Some sailors — those whose current tours take them over 36 consecutive months at sea — will also get a raise in career sea pay premium of an additional $100 per month to $200. The service estimates that 100,000 Sailors receive career sea pay and approximately 13,000 also get the premium payment. Go to http://www.navy.mil/ navydata/people/cnp/Moran/Resource /SEAYPAY _Previous _and New_Tables.pdf to see the new rates.
