Extra numbers for commodities, derived from a primary food or feed commodity.
It was intended to use one number throughout the Classification for a primary commodity and all commodities derived from the letter, combined with different code letters referring to the group in which the derived commodities are classified. This was not always possibly in case more than one derived commodity had to be classified in a specific food group.
Therefore some extra numbers had to be introduced (between 1200 and 1299). Reference to the additional code number is given with the primary commodity at its first appearance in the Classification.
