  • It is defined as improved data quality and continuous use of information

      • Technical factors.
      • Behavioral factors.
      • Organizational factors.

Technical Factors

  • Technical : All those factors that are related to specialized techniques and technology to develop, manage, and improve RHIS processes and performance.
  • Such as: Structure and design of information systems, information flow, relevance of indicators to information needs, user friendliness of data collection forms, registers, tools, equipment, information technology, user-friendly database.

Behavioral Factors

  • All those factors that are related to knowledge, skills, abilities, attitudes, and motivation to develop, manage, and improve RHIS processes and performance.

Organizational Factors

  • All those factors that are related to organizational structure, resources, procedures, and support services, to develop, manage, and improve RHIS processes and performance.

The Performance of Routine Information System Management (PRISM)

  • A routine health information system is composed of inputs, processes and outputs or performance, which in turn affect health system performance and lead to better health outcomes.
