(Hurtubise, 1984) The purpose of HMIS is to routinely generate quality health information and use that information for management decisions to improve the performance of health services delivery.


13 Ask what factors determine that HMIS is producing quality information in a sustainable manner and that there is continued used of HMIS information for decision making. Help the discussion to focus on how, apart from the technical design of the HMIS, organizational and behavioral factors also determine how HMIS performs.
