2594. Perez, Danny. BIGFOOT AT BLUFF CREEK (Signed). Norwalk: Center for BigFoot Studies, 1992. First Edition. Book. 1st printing. 4to pictorial wraps. 23pp. Illus. Maps. Presentation signed by Perez to former owner, & also signed by Bob Gimlin in 2000. Gimlin was with Roger Patterson at Bluff Creek, California, when they encountered, & Patterson filmed, the most famous footage (pardon the pun) of a sasquatch. With state-of-the-art, highly technical analysis by Bill Munns, et. al., and the debunking of the Hollywood "man in a monkey suit" assumptions & false claims, the so-called Patterson-Gimlin film is now regarded as credible & almost certainly authentic. Bob Gimlin's manhood & credibility have always been unassailable. He is a genuine Yakima, Washington, Westerner, & wrangled horses into his 80s! The author's analysis of the event & the details are highly praised. A 2nd edition was published in 2003 which added a bibliography & subtracted "For additional copies.." info. Fine. Very scarce now this edition signed. Fine. Paperback. (#1307130) $150.07

2617. Photograph) Klondike. MASTODON SKULL. Yukon Territory, 1904. Photographic Image. Not a book. Original photograph, 6/38" x 8/ 1/2". Black & white tending toward sepia. Photo of three unidentified gentlemen (likely miners) standing behind a mastodon skull & impressively curved tusks still firmly and symetrically rooted in the skull. Printed in white at the bottom is the following: "copyright applied for". "Discoverys (sic) of Mastondon head uncovered at a depth of 42 feet on 5 below _____ Discovery." "Quartz Creek Y.T. March 5 1904 Length of 4 feet width 2 feet 4 inches Tusks 7 feet 6 inches" "W. (Phello?) Photo". The photo is worn with creases, stain on back, & a one inch tear at the top. However the image is strong and clear. I suspect that when these miners eventually made it back home, this story, more than any gold they found, is what they would live to tell their grandchildren about. March 5, 1904 Good. Paperback. (#1003111) $60.72
2618. Photograph) Three Sands, Oklahoma?. (Oil Group Panorama). N.p., 1920. Photographic Image. Not a book. Original photograph, 8" x 33" including margins. ca early 1920s. Slightly sepia toned. A vivid photo of what we strongly believe to be, from our research in Okla books with oil photos, oil rig types, and also surrounding landscape, a portion of the famous Three Sands, Oklahoma, field that was located between Tonkawa & Blackwell. On back of photo in pencil is simply written "Oklahoma". This panorama is not of the whole field, but a street corner close-up of several buildings, derricks, cars, piping, etc., & a group of around 50 men facing the camera. In very good condition with five creases along the upper margin that barely intrude into the image. There are just a few tiny blanks in the emulsion. One guy has a black ink spot covering a small section of his pants. Outside of museums, we presume these types of photos are rare. ca 1920's. Very Good+. Paperback. (#0711292) $300.00
2619. Photograph). KLONDIKE. Group of Miners. N.p., Dawson City? ca 1900, 1900. Photographic Image. Not a book. Original albumen cabinet photo, 4 3/4" x 6 5/8" on usual paper board mount. A little overexposed, however the nineteen men in the photo are clear & sharp. Some are seated & some are standing in front of an unidentified building. Back of mount in pencil is a name, "Albert Waldock - 2nd from left 1st row" & "Klondike". One can't tell if these men have all struck it rich, but they look confident & healthy, and some even have smiles. Vg condition. Very Good+. Paperback. (#0508108) $82.01
2620. Photograph). Cowboy, Horse, & Dog. n.p.1921, 1921. Photographic Image. Not a book. Penciled 1921 on back. Black & white snapshot 2 3/8" x 4". A cowboy wearing revolver & belt/holster is holding reins of saddled horse; fence & hill in background; dog on left & small structure on righ t. Small but interesting, it appears to be taken east of the Cascades. Vg. Very Good. Paperback. (#9605120) $9.84
2621. Photograph). FRAZEE, MINNESOTA. No Publisher, 1880. Photographic Image. Not a book. Original photograph of city of Frazee, Minnesota, circa 1880s or early 1890s.. This slightly sepia view, 3/7/8" x 4 1/2", is looking down the main street from a quite elevated position. Excellent view of the central area with many false-fronted buildings. The R. L. Frazee (mill) in the distance is identified, with name on side of building, using a strong magnifier. Frazee was incorporated as a city in January, 1891. Photo is on the original mat, and is in a nice rustic-looking polished wood frame in excellent condition. It is more recent than the photo. 1880? Very Good+. Paperback. (#1003112) $76.91
2622. Photograph). Spanish American War. Star Photo, St. Louis, ca 1898, 1898. Photographic Image. Not a book. FOUR CAVALRY CAMP SOLDIERS sit together in front of a tent. They include Corporal Hiram Wood. Dimensions are 4" x 5", and it is a bromide photograph. The photo is affixed to the usual photo backing, the back of which is stamped "STAR PHOTO CO. / 713 N. 8th Street, / ST. LOUIS." Under that printing Cpl. Wood has written, in black ink, "U.S. Cav. My mess mates / Copl. Hiram Wood". In a search on the internet, the only Hiram Wood which appears is a Sergeant, he was with a unit in the early part of the Civil War. A search for Star Photo Co. places it at two other locations in St. Louis between 1910 - 1020. Very good condition with a few tiny flecks. In the faint upper background, one can see the tops & sides of other tents. Very Good+. Paperback. (#0411113) $42.65

Pri nted information on back of card with much on Santa Fe "FOR THE HEALTH SEEKER". Ad for The Denver & Rio Grande R.R. Imprint of "SANTA FE VIEW AND CURIO CO. The photographer practiced his craft in Santa Fe 1899-1905 & was official photographer for the Santa Fe Central R.R., & also published Hillers' work under the Kaadt imprint, according to authority Carl Mautz. A really nice image of a mounted Indian sporting an unusual headdress ( maybe not for the Tesuque). (Digital image of the photo emailed upon request, but must be serious prospective buyer). n.d. Very Good+. Paperback. (#0011107) $82.01
2624. Photograph). Western Parade. Photographic Image. Not a book. W count over 70 persons, the great majority on horseback. Location unknown (best guess: central Washington). Probably about 1940 - 1950. Photo was rolled so there are vertical lines (8) of cracks to the surface, plus corner creases. 10" x 27". A worthy, showy item that should be properly matted & framed. Good. Good. Paperback.
