Spread out in the waters off the northern Norwegian coastline near the town of Stavanger lies a group of larger and smaller islands that is simply referred to as the Stavanger Archipelago. While many of the islands are only sparsely inhabited by humans, they are home to abundant wildlife and boast spectacular scenery. A scenic trip north from Stavanger to the coast begins this tour, after which the coach will drive through the incredible undersea road tunnel that links mainland Norway with Mosterøy island. It is regarded as Norway’s best-restored monastery and is still in active use today. The monastery is dedicated to St. Laurence and dates back to the 13^th century.
