2.2 Multicast Upgrade

2.2.1 Preparations

Make sure you have the list file as follow:

HG633v1.15t_multicast_restore_default_pack.bin	The image for Multicast upgrade
HG633v1.15t_multicast_restore_default_pack.ini	The information for Multicast upgrade
MUT_eng.exe	The toolset of Multicast upgrade

2.2.2 Procedures:

1) The “HG633v1.15t_multicast_restore_default_pack.bin” file is the version file; use the multicasts upgrade tools.

2) Network: connect the PC and multiple Home Gateway to LanSwitch(100M).

3) Run “MUT_eng.exe” tools in PC. Choose the version file（HG633v1.15t_multicast_restore_default_pack.bin）Press start to multicast.

4) Observer LED
Power on the Home Gateway.
When download version file and HG begin to load version file to flash, the POWER, DSL,Internet, WLAN, LAN,TV blink together..

When loading is OK, the POWER, BROADBAND, Internet, WIRELESS, ETHERNET,TV are always ON;

Notes: before the Home Gateway upgrade successfully, the power must NOT OFF.

6) Make sure the upgrading is OK again ,disconnect and power off the Home Gateway.

After the upgrading completely, you may check the Home Gateway version randomly.

2.3 Notes:

1. Use the Web mode for the testing, the on-site maintenance and other occasions.
2. Multicast upgrade is used for a lot of device to upgrade the software versions.
3. Urgent restoring mode of local upgrade is applicable only when the system cannot start normally. For example, the system powers off when writing Flash may result in abnormal startup of the system.
4. After change the settings on the Web, Save and reset by selecting Device Management> Back Up or Restore Settings and Maintain > Device Management> Factory Restore
5. If abnormity occurs and you cannot restore the systems by using the urgent restoring mode of local upgrade, contact the R&D staff at once.
