SUMMARY
In the third episode of Juvenile Justice, Kang strikes a bargain with the magistrate. By suggesting a five-year extension of the Juvenile Act but refusing to repeal it, demonstrators have been outraged. Yu-Ri is taken to the hospital after getting hurt and showing up at work. Eun-Seok discovers the woman's past of prostitution, theft, and most likely domestic abuse at the hospital.
Eun-Seok brings up domestic violence in a seminar with other participants. Judges show up, and they go to Yu-Ri's job to find out more. She learns from a coworker that a mysterious man abducted Yu-Ri from the salon. Later, Eun-Seok accuses Yu-Ri's father of being the abuser after learning the truth. Tae-Ju convinces Yu-Ri to apply for a restraining order. However, due to her father's probation breach, Eun-Seok files an arrest warrant for her. As the case moves forward, Eun-Seok imprisons Yu-Ri on purpose in order to properly punish her abuser. Investigating Yu-Ri's father, Detective Ko gathers recordings of him stomping her with a baseball bat. When Yu-Ri's father attacks her, Tae-Ju steps in to protect Yu-Ri's grandma. Later, he pins Won-Sik to the ground and chokes him. Tae-Ju is being assaulted by Eun-Seok, who yells at him to stop by calling his name.
ANALYSIS
The issue of marital violence is emphasized in Juvenile's third episode. This chapter explains that domestic abuse is a crime that is sadly underreported and infamously difficult to prosecute. Yu-Ri's upsetting circumstances make for challenging television to watch. experience. The memories at the end of the episode are very disturbing and presented in a sophisticated, nuanced way, examining various explanations and opinions.
The play also highlights important questions about the harm that abuse and trauma can cause to young people and the importance of providing support and information to survivors. It also challenges how society views domestic violence victims and the stigma attached to asking for help.
